The property is very well maintained, and the park is beautiful. We had a few lovely walks around the castle. The staff was always polite and friendly Our room was large and very comfortable. It even had air conditioning! (Not a given in French hotels and much welcome with the 30+ temperatures we had). We also really liked the pool.

Service at the restaurant left much to be desired for the prices they charge. We had dinner the 1st night of our stay, and felt forgotten by the many staff present, with much longer waiting time than neighboring tables. After that we decided to have dinner elsewhere and were lucky to find a wonderful unpretentious little family restaurant nearby with amazing food and service. In our room you could hear a bit of noise from outside (not sure if from the stairs).

Beautiful countryside, gorgeous interior

Swimming pool was disappointingly small and not of a great standard. Breakfast- no one present to ask for general help with things like tea spoons for yoghurt and cereal. scrambled egg was cold- I formed waiter and no concern given. Had to go to the kitchen area to ask for water. Table not cleaned when cold scrambled egg plate placed on empty table next to us. finished cereal, bowls left for us to move also. For the money for the breakfast I would have expected better service that morning.

the property is magnificently grand: one can imagine how the aristocracy lived: the dogs were welcomed as much as we were, and there were acres to roam with them. The bed was very comfortable, and dinner was delicious. they took my gluten issues very seriously and made some starters specially: the staff were elegantly relaxed, always wirh a smile. we had a super evening .

perhaps some gluten free options at breakfast/ but its a small thing

Our room was amazing! Spacious, clean and very well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and our dog was made to feel welcome. The grounds are immaculately kept and vast, 3 terraces give you the opportunity to have different views of the countryside. The pool is well sited and was kept really warm, great size and plenty of loungers on terrace. The breakfast was well presented and generous.

Nothing!

Beautiful grounds in a luxury setting. Rooms are large with opulent decor. Bathrooms are updated with excellent facilities/comfortable shower. The in-house restaurant has gourmet food with a michelen quality chef.

Everything was wonderful. The only reason I can see this place not having a 5* rating is that the restaurant doesn’t make entree changes to its menu nightly.

Beautiful chateaux, beautifully restored and decorated - very well run and comfortable for an overnight stay and I'd like to return for a couple of days in the Loire valley and explore the grounds, perhaps at a slightly warmer time of year. The quality of the dinner in the restaurant was excellent.

The breakfasts were superb. The staff was attentive, and the lounge with the massive fireplace was a great spot for an evening aperitif.

The dinner menu in the restaurant seemed a bit limited, but that just might be French provincial fare in December.

restored chateau where you really felt you were staying in a grand yet authentic spot. service was impeccable even in the slow shoulder season. the grounds are gorgeous- would love to return in season. Michelin restaurant an amazing experience.

A few small updates to decor in rooms could make seem less dated (but still authentic) downstairs decor was perfect. Not any casual dining options (maybe due to off-season)

Nice place, though we expected a little more - the room is good but all modern and relatively cheap, low ceilings etc. You expect a little more from a château. The park is fantastic. The restaurant hall is impressive, the food s good, the service is sincere but veeery slow.

The place is amazing, the rooms are decorated with a touch of luxury, beds are super comfortable and the property is magnificent. rooms are super clean and as a whole it was a very nice experience to be in a place like this.

Noise from other rooms can be heard easily. Staff at the restaurant not as pleasant as staff from reception. Do not like carpets in the room although the one in ours was white and extremely clean. No view from the room.
