Location is incredibly peaceful with fields all around. On arrival we were greeted, shown to our rooms, encouraged to sit outside in the sunshine and offered some local, chilled, cider. We were given information on the local town & dining options discussed. A reservation was made for us at a restaurant. Our room was very quiet and well appointed. As well as a good sized double bedroom there was a separate bathroom with shower over the bath and an area with a sofa. Lovely views over the countryside. Breakfast was typical, tasty, French. Lovely.

There are two bedrooms. The one we had was upstairs and would be difficult for someone with mobility problems.

Lovely welcome - we weren't sure if we'd arrived at the right place (it's very secluded), so it was helpful that the lovely host came out to greet us, or we'd probably have driven off. Beautiful countryside, lovely, spacious room and bathroom, and delicious breakfast served in the garden. Particularly appreciated the 'sitting room' area of our room - a great space to chill out. A friendly (but not over-friendly) dog and a couple of cats to keep us company.

A couple of really small points: it seemed a bit iffy to have the room kettle next to the toilet...I'm not sure it would encourage anyone to use the kettle! I'm also allergic to cats, so was a little sneezy in our room. But those were the only negatives.

Comfortable room and bed, very clean.

Our only complaint about our stay was re breakfast - the owner seemed very reluctantto allow her guests enough butter and jam for their bread/croissants. It felt like we had a tiny ration and that was all we were going to get. Likewise with coffee and hot milk.. there's barely enough. We aren't huge greedy people, but a 10 pence piece size of butter and teaspoon of jam just feels unnecessarily mean for two people..

Excellent breakfast. Beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful.

Very difficult to find. No clear sign posting. House name not visible. Toured locality and had to ask local residents twice before finally being able to locate house, only to find that we had already been there and driven away as couldn't verify it as correct place.

Breakfast was served out of doors in the owners garden, extremely pleasant, excellent food, very friendly service. The room as easily accessible on the ground floor with convenient parking. The room was spacious and the en-suite bathroom was well presented, the shower was particularly good. Cleanliness was excellent and above all else our host was very nice and friendly.

I cannot think of amnything that needs to change.

Annie was a fantastic host and the rooms were just perfect - plenty of space and really comfortable. Eating a leisurely breakfast of croissants, fresh bread, yoghurt, fruit and amazing coffee sitting outside on the terrace was heavenly! We so enjoyed meeting Annie's lovely Dalmation and delightful kittens too. Annie was really helpful about local information and places to visit. We would love to return!

We loved our stay. Even the weather couldn’t dampen the warm welcome we received on arrival. Our rooms were just as described, and were exceedingly comfortable. Breakfast was superb, as was the setting. Would definitely recommend!

It was in a lovely setting and easy walks immediately. The property was comfortable and we ate meals outside and a refrigerator in the room was helpful too.

It wasn’t the easiest property to locate, though that may have been an error on my part in missing a sign on the wall. people living nearby were really helpful in directing us. otherwise it was excellent.

The breakfast was lovely, it was served in the living room therefore we had beautiful views. Annie made sure we had everything we desired.

Location was a little confusing. Le Verger (Le Plessis). There are quite a few Colombiers also Colombiers du Plessis. We found it in the end so guests should be careful when using satnav.

We were greeted at Le Verger by Annie, our host. It is a lovely stone built property set in a nice garden and overlooking open country side. We had breakfast in the fresh air, at a table just outside our room. Tea, coffee, fruit juice, yogurts, warm bread rolls and pastries provided a really satisfying start to the day.
