The hotel is smarter on the inside than from the outside. We were upgraded to a spacious room with a lovely view and a comfortable sitting area . Breakfast was good, but we were sadly disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed on that evening ( Monday). I don't recall that being mentioned on the website, and after a long day driving we depend upon being able to eat in the hotel. We do not want to drive into town. We therefore had to settle for pizzas in the hotel bar. These were not served very hot and were somewhat disappointing. It rather spoiled our stay. We did enjoy an evening walk from the hotel, and parking was easy

We arrived at this hotel not knowing what to expect as we followed the reviews on booking.com. We are so glad we booked our stay at this hotel, in fact, we wish we had booked for longer. We were greeted by Marianne and her team who were super friendly and showed us fantastic hospitality, they continually went out of the way to ensure we had a fantastic stay with them. The hotel has been recently refurbished and they've done a great job. We came to Digne le Bains to ride mountain bikes and this hotel has a storage room out the back to lock up your bikes, a washing station and a few other facilities that really cater for mountain biking. It is in a perfect location for those looking to tackle the local mountain bike trails or EVO bike park. We enjoyed using the pool after a long day riding the bikes, and having a drink in the bar. For dinner we ate in the restaurant. The food was delicious. I couldn't fault it. We ate breakfast several times in the restaurant, whilst not a smorgasbord of a buffet, It was all you needed to get the day started and was delicious. If we come back to Digne le Bains, we'll certainly stay here again.

The only reason I've given this hotel a 9 as an overall score instead of a 10, is because of the bed. When we read the reviews many people commented on how comfortable the beds were, our preference is for a softer bed and we found the beds a little too hard. That being said, we have found most beds on this European holiday to be far firmer than we would ideally like. Apart from our personal bed preference, I couldn't fault the property.

Lovely hotel tucked away from it all. Big room , good bathroom . Stayed 1 night on motorcycle trip, several other bikes were there also. Plenty of parking for bikes right outside front door and for cars over road.

Food was a bit limited at dinner. But being picky really. Oh and view from my room was ok,ish with no balcony. But fine for 1 night.

The view from my room (wall and neighbour's vis a vis balcony and windows, garbage) and hence total lack of privacy. Had to keep curtains pulled and windows closed. A shame considered the location.

it was a very successful stay .. the service was very nice, always smiling and helpful .. everywhere very clean, breakfast delicious .. I highly recommend

Really nice hotel. Nice view and very quite around. The new design is very nice and cosy. When you enter the room, you can feel the fresh wood smell. Clean room and comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. The swimming pool is super! We really enjoyed our stay and we consider coming back for a longer stay.

The view from the window overlooked some residential buildings which were close to the hotel which meant we had to close the curtains for privacy as there were no voil or net style curtains

Clean and modern. The staff were very good, particularly Marianne.

We could have used some more towels, particularly hand towels. Also, there was no hair dryer.
