Overall a lovely stay - we originally had room 3 which is one of the small rooms (room 1 is the other) and really struggled with the room set up - basically no storage, no where to put bags, fridge on the floor, just a very hard room for 2 people to stay in. The Bed and Shower were great. We then asked to more to a larger room and moved to The Grand Salon (room 2) which was absolutely lovely, great views down the main street, super shower and a completely different experience from the other room. Great bed, super clean - again some silly little things (why is the Fridge on the floor?) but a nice stay in a pretty village. Would recommend for Room 2, but not for the small rooms.

Communication with the owner got better (best in French on Text message) but I never got answers for some questions that I asked via the booking portal. Finding the entrance door is a challenge (its ///greases.skew.litters) just to the left as you walk up Rue du Grande Pre from the 'square'. I never got an answer about parking but there is plenty in the small town - we used the area near ///calming.resubmit.autumns which usually has spaces but NOT on FRIDAYS when the brilliant market takes place. Breakfast is taken at the Comptoir restaurant (///jolly.coyness.locating).

The room was huge and the decor was lovely. Great view of the village from the two French windows. Within walking distance to all sites we wanted to visit.

While the French windows were beautiful, and gave us a great view, at night it was an issue. They are single pane windows, and even with the shutters closed, the bar across the street had folks on their street side patio until the early hours, so we heard every conversation, very clearly. Unfortunate because the room was by far the best accommodation we had over the course of our 10 day trip.

The room was very beautiful, superbly well appointed, very spacious. High-quality fittings and furnishings. Very comfortable bed, fantastic shower area and bathtub. Lovely products available. Super central location in lovely Lourmarin. Breakfast served at a café nearby; good, if limited in choices. We didn't see the owner but received detailed instructions by text message. Free parking close by.

Being in the centre of the village, it was noisy till late (close to 2am).

It's a cozy place in the heart of the town. It was easy to access coffee places, restaurants, shops and tour around walking. The bed is very comfortable, loved the shower and the fact to have an espresso machine in the room is always a plus.

It was a little bit hard to find the location but some locals helped us immediately, quite noisy at night until 2-3 am because of the restaurants/bars just below the room, but we were still very satisfied.

Well located and a charming building. Happy our room was in the first floor. Lovely to get a bottle of wine. Comfortable and had everything we needed.

Odd feature of the toilet was a sensor light that went in incessantly even in the night. Very few power outlets, typical in a building of this era. Also call my old fashioned but it is nice to have at least one beside table.

Brilliant location-right in the heart of town/restaurants. Very trendy, hi-tech, minimalist apartment-quirky.

Only thing I would say is it would be nice to have small bedside tables or even a shelf on each side above the bed for books, phones, glasses etc. Also, individual bedside reading lights would be good.

we liked the size of the room which is very tastefully furnished. superb location in central old town Lourmarin

We did not like the fact that the owner had not alerted us that the entrance code and room number would be transmitted to us via text. We were travelling on bicycles and not always connected to wifi. Breakfast is at a cafe 150 m away which we plodded over to in the rain without umbrellas. The breakfast was very basic, not what one would except from a place like La Maison. We think Madame needs to let guests know in advance that she will communicate by text. Secondly, we think she needs to rethink the cafe breakfast. We she could do these two things we would move our review up to a solid 9 out of 10. We also think that the wifi signal at the property is to weak and that is why her text messages did not get through to us.

host Cecelia was a good communicator and sent message with specific details prior to our arrival. Situated right in the middle of the beautiful village of Lourmarin with shops and cafes and restaurants at your doorstep. The atmosphere of La Maison and the village were both relaxed, quaint and memorable. We were also welcomed with a bottle of wine and began our morning with the included petit dejeuner in one of the village cafes which was very good. We only had one night, but if we have the chance would stay at this property again in Lourmarin - one of the most lovely villages of the Luberon that we visited.

Perhaps including a map of the property’s location within the village would be helpful. We arrived in the evening, and found the village alright, but needed to ask one of the local people to help us locate it. We were very close but a little tricky to locate the exact spot for entry - a photo of the street/entry would be useful.

The room was absolutely a charm! This is a not a hotel rather cute building with a entry code that leads up to your designated room. There was no contact with anyone as it was self check-in with an entry code. Once we reached our room it was so charming, modern and quaint! Beyond my expectations, very typical provencial style room with all the amenities you need. A bottle of wine and breakfast at a local place was complementary :) The view from our room was overlooking the city center.

Very comfortable and charming lodging in the "lounge" centre of this pictoresque village. Spring bed with separate foam topper, comfortable for all sleeping styles. Very well furnished, decor has been done with taste and it's been partially renovated since the photos on booking.com. Wonderful shower. Thanks to other comments here, we split the luggage and took only the essential with us (it's about 200-300m walk from the parking). Would definitely reccommend and will stay again when back to this region.
