Location was excellent. Hotel is located on the Place Carnot with lots of great food and drink options within walking distance. It is also right next to the Lyon-Perrace Gare Routiere, a major public transport hub for the metro, trams, buses and trains. Super friendly staff that were multilingual. Breakfast was a buffet not included in the room rate but could be purchased for 14.90 Euro through the front desk,

The Wifi was spotty at best. Even though it said it woul remember you log-in, I had to log-in every morning and anytime I left the hotel. Room was small but comfy. Bathroom was tiny. I'm 6'0" and 175. When sitting on the toilet, my knees almost hit the wall in front of it. No safe in the room for valuables.

Was ripped off by taxi arranged by hotel.. he took a long winding route thru narrow streets, added an extra fee above the meter reading because we made a reservation and dropped us by the road where we had to walk down a hill dragging our suitcases when other taxis were dropping their clients right beside the boat. Suggest you advise your front desk to complain about this driver. It ruined an otherwise wonderful experience. Our pick up was 11:30 am on October 1st 2024.

We arrived at 11 pm for our first visit 2024 Feb 01 to a friendly welcome from the night receptionist. The hotel is on the north side of Lyon Perrache train station, on the elegant Place Carnot - one minute on foot from trains, trams, buses and metro. The hotel is recently renovated, and everything is classy and super clean. Luxury hot shower, a coffee machine in the room, and a good sleep between clean sheets and quilt. I feel lucky to have spent 4 nights here in the wonderful city of Lyon.

I can't think of anything I would change in this hotel.

Excellent location, close to public transport, bars, restaurants and attractions. The personnel was nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and essential, good enough for a long weekend.

Bathroom: the toilet seat was a bit uncomfortable, and the shower had no curtain or door, therefore after every shower the floor was flooded.

The hotel is located right at the metro and therefore, good to reach. The sights are also not too far away and easy to reach via Metro. Restaurants were nearby as well. Everything was clean and the room itself had a decent size. What I like best was the super friendly staff and the amazing playlist played by the receptionist.

The rooms were not very modern but a bit oldish and the bathroom was extremely small.

The Hotel was very nice, very quiet and sober, and with a kind staff. The position was close enough to the center and especially was really near to the river, just 2 minutes by walk; also you got lots of cafè and bar close to you, so if you're tired after a long-walking day...don't worry! You only need to take the elevator!

Most of the staff was kind, except one of the receptionist, maybe too upset in front of english questions...but it's okay, just learn english better! The one and only problem was a very big station in front of the Hotel; during the day was really quiet, but if you're waling through the night...open up your eyes!

Location and proximity to Perrashe station. Room comfortable and clean. Very nice breakfast. Comfortable bed and pillows.

It would be good to have a small refrigerator. There is no door on the shower, so water goes all over the floor. It is therefore impossible to reuse the towels as suggested because they have to be used to mop the floor.

It was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was very well placed for public transport and places to eat.

I booked one triple room and two twin rooms, however my friends thought that the twin room were a bit small, but they were good enough for a one or two night stay.

I liked the position, very close to the Perrache station and very quiet. I liked the room clean and cosy with a comfortable bed. The Breakfast was excellent, self-service and rich in food.

Probably, the Cappuccino was not perfect but could be easily replaced by other drinks... besides that, I cannot find other things that I did not like about my stay at Hotel Des Remparts Perrache

Friendly stuff, fast check in, excellent location, quite, it was only for one night and we had a great sleep

Toilette seat is in the shower - questionable choice, but ok The floor in the room has a carpet , and it was not very clean - lots of hair that were not ours, wondering how often and how good it is cleaned
