Excellent hotel with private parking. Lovely riverside property with interesting history. The room overlooking the Saone was delightful and the hotel public spaces are delightful. Location of hotel is right on the Quai Jean Jaurès. It has a great bar with a somelier and comfortable lounge area with sumptuous seating.

No evening restaurant which was tricky as the walk into town is quite a way and nothing opens until 7pm. Wasn't quite sure what breakfast was going to comprise if anything, no notices up and no information, so decided to go without.

Lovely old hotel by the river. Steeped in history and nicely refurbished by Best Western. The staff were fabulous and have even packed up and posted to me a nightie I left in the bathroom, free of charge! Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. We didn't pay for parking and parked in the free Parking Monnier only 6 mins walk away, along the river.

That we only stayed one night. We were there overnight for an early morning hospital appointment.

Secure parking if reserved in advance & if available, convenient location overlooking river, easy to walk to centre of ville. Our young cavapoo was given a friendly welcome by two scottie dogs. There's a pleyal piano for guests in the lounge area. Although we didn't have breakfast the selection available seemed very good.

Due to the hotel being located on a main road one could not open the bedroom window at night due to traffic noise. The grey walls & decor were a little depressing.

Great location for access to the town centre. Exceptionally clean throughout, the bedroom and bathroom in particular were spotless. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we really liked the feel of the hotel and some of the historic photos in the lift and dotted around. Secure parking is an additional benefit, remember to book in advance. Very welcoming for our Cocker Spaniel too.

Everything. This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel and it won't be the last. The building is beautiful, the lounge area is lovely and the breakfast is simply fantastic. There is plenty of parking on the street for free after 6 pm but if in doubt you can book the hotel car park. I arrived late on a Saturday evening on the French long weekend of Pentecost but still found parking close to the hotel. One point: I recommend specifying that you want a room in the interior of the hotel to avoid being put in one of the annexe rooms overlooking the car park.

Very nicely renovated building, big rooms, nice bathrooms and comfy beds. Luxury!

Cost for breakfast was the same for our 4 and 7 year old daughters as for us @20 EUR pp, and then it becomes rather expensive considering our smallest had a pancake and a youplaît yoghurt. Nice breakfast though but a little disappointed that there was only brewed coffee, no espresso machine..

Warm welcome from reception and suggestions for restaurant, lovely art deco lounge. Comfortable room with river view, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge. Organic fairtrade cotton towels and organic soap/ shower gel. Good position to walk along the river promenade and walk to restaurants. Close to Auchan hypermarket too for food supplies while travelling. A very relaxing and comfortable stopover for us, travelling south to north.

The hotel okay, considering the other Macon choices. Decor okay, bed okay, staff helpful. On site parking was good.

Somewhat sad and lacking in charm. Macon lacks very good choices and this was not worth the money as the hotel was nearly empty and we weren't given a riverview. Nothing much near-by in the way of restaurants. Okay for an over-night stay only.

Location is perfect. We used to stay at this hotel when our children were young en route to the South of France. Then it was jaded but we loved the history of the hotel. Now we have returned 24 years later and we have found the hotel sympathetically restored. The staff were really friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner.

Certainly a Large enough room that gave the dog a nice place to run around. Good quality and comfortable bed - Decent red settee, a useful fridge and kettle too. Very easy parking with friendly helpful staff.

The room we had was a bit dark with nowhere to hang coats. A bit expensive compared to other places that we stayed at on our trip, which knocks a point off.
