Amazing manor house tastefully decorated in a gorgeous location. David welcomed us to his beautiful home and was a superb host. He prepared a generous breakfast with a variety of fruit, yoghurt, breads, juice, tea/coffee... Gluten free was accommodated very well. The bedroom was such a haven and was the biggest we have experienced with a large bedroom tastefully decorated, a sitting room and a large bathroom with shower. There were fantastic views of the countryside from the room. We truly loved our two days with David and would definitely return at a moments notice. Congratulations David on all your great work and enthusiasm to create a fantastic experience.

Le Manoir du Ribardon is an 18th century property located in the area of Normandy referred to as "Suisse Normande" because of the picturesque countryside. David, the owner is a perfect host with a great passion for the 18th and 19th century. He has and furnished and styled the property with antiques of these periods. I stayed in the Majestic suite; this also has an elegant seating room, the bedroom offers a balcony to experience the exceptional views of the countryside and of the race horses in the paddocks. Breakfast at Le Manoir Ribardon, was a magnificent affair with a vast ranger of local quality products.
Nothing..prefect visit.

We stayed here at the last minute due to a booking mistake on my part at another manor. David was so accommodating and made our stay absolutely incredible. This is an 18th century manor that's been renovated perfectly- it's completely modern in amenities and accommodations, while keeping all the original charm and history. David was so kind to book dinner reservations for us, and the place he recommended was excellent. The bed and linens were very comfortable and made for a great night's sleep. The breakfast was the best I had in Normandy- perfect little crepes with homemade blackberry jam, a baked flan characteristic of the region, brioche toast, Camembert, and lovely seeded bread. And the best coffee! David also has an art collection worthy of a museum, along with many pieces of furniture from the original period. All in all, I can't recommend Le Manoir du Ribardon enough- you will not find any better!!

David, our host, was charmimg. He has a wonderful engaging personality and we noticed that all the guests quickly warmed to him. He went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and was happy to advise on local sights to visit and recommended restaurants. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful but simple, mainly continental breakfast style with cooked eggs as an option. A 'full English breakfast' was not an option. The location was excellent for exploring Falaise and other nearby places of interest.

Le Manoir du Ribardon is a historic building with traditional architecture, offering an authentic stay with rustic charm. As a small, family-run establishment, it provides personalized and friendly service. Situated in a quiet, natural setting, it's perfect for relaxation and escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. The property is also very clean, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay, all at the perfect price.
Its location in more isolated areas may be less convenient for guests who want easy access to urban areas or attractions.

David is the perfect host. He went out of his way to make us welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. His hotel is filled with the most beautiful furnishings and fittings. You are surrounded by luxurious things when you stay here. The breakfasts are memorable and a walk in the gardens at sundown makes for a perfect stay.
It would be churlishness to mention that anything needed improving but maybe more variety of fruit and cheese at breakfast.

Our only disappointment is that we only had one night at this superb house. The beds were incredibly comfortable and our room - and the whole house - was decorated and furnished with impeccable taste. It was so quiet; a good night’s sleep is guaranteed. The breakfast was delicious. There was so much choice, and all excellent quality and beautifully presented. Our host could not have been kinder or more welcoming. We can recommend with no reservations.
Nothing. It was all perfect.

A very warm welcome from our host who has made a superb job of renovating the Manor. Breakfast in the dining room was set up beautifully with top quality produce and was delicious. Our room was enormous having an anti room and very large bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The Manor is set in its own grounds and was really quiet and peaceful.
A slight blip was the boiler wasn't working first thing so had to wait for the shower, but it was really hot and powerful.

The Manor House is incredible- steeped in history and full of fascinating artefacts. It is situated in a very peaceful area and sitting outside, all we could hear was birdsong. David has renovated the house beautifully and incorporated modern elements such as the bathrooms to a high standard. We had an amazing room which was really more of a suite and it was such good value for money. We loved the touches of luxury- bathrobes and slippers. The welcome from David was superb and he was an exceptional host. Breakfast was delicious and very thoughtfully prepared. We were extremely sorry to stay for just one night and will certainly return for longer.

What a fabulous place to stay. We will definitely come back! We stayed at Le Manoir du Ribardon after taking the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth to Caen. The ferry was delayed but I messaged the owner David and he was happy to accommodate our v late arrival. Google maps found the location easily which was a relief because once you turn off the main road you are driving along small roads. Given that we were driving when it was dark, it was easy to see other cars…although I think we only passed 1. We had reserved 2 rooms and they were very welcoming and comfortable. Our group slept very well and then we woke to have a very delicious breakfast ..before leaving for our onward journey. Thank you David for making this a fabulous first night of our holiday. We will definitely return when we next travel to Caen by ferry or if we are in the area!
We loved everything.
