The staff was very nice, our airplane was delayed, but they have waited us. The metro station was very close, so we could reach many sights quickly. The neighborhood is good, there are shops, bakeries, restaurants. We got cleaning every day, they made the bed, took the trash out and put new soap and shower gel if we run out of them.

We have missed a fridge (they did not offer but it would very useful). The bathroom is small - although we counted on it because of the the comments. It is really true: you can take a shower, wash your teeth and use the toilet at the same time :D And it is a little bit noisy, we could not sleep with open window. All in all this is a really good accommodation for sleep and starts from here the trips.

Great stay! It was amazing, we absolutely loved our time at Hotel Anya. The area and location was amazing, with great bars and restaurants all around and the metro right down the block. The staff was the best part, they were so accommodating and kind. They always made sure we had what we needed. The room was clean and had all the necessities. The bathrooms are funny, but we were there for the adventure. I was truly so pleasantly surprised, the pictures don’t do the rooms justice—if you want a cheap stay in Paris that is safe and clean, you got it here

Thin walls! Bring ear plugs. And yes, the spiral staircase and hallways are narrow, so be ready for that with luggage.

The hotel is really well located for the Metro and buses. There are shops and restaurants close by, including a well stocked pharmacist which offers both traditional and homeopathic options. Everything essential worked well, the hot water, internet, toilet and the bed sheets were beautifully crisp and clean. Great reading light on the bedhead.

For elderly visitors it is worth noting that this is an old building with a steep spiral staircase and, there is no elevator which would be difficult to install. There is no restaurant and breakfast is not included. A kettle in the room for making hot drinks would be a major plus.

A small room, no lift but not a problem (I am 83 years old) . A typical old fashioned Parisian hotel, I had no idea they still existed. Not in a tourist area so the atmosphere was totally French with real bistros and other places to eat. Only five minutes walk from the Metro station, so excellent access to all there is to see and do in Paris. As for the local food shops, it was worth the journey for these alone. As a bonus, everybody was kind and helpful, no litter in the streets and respectful cyclists!

It rained on Wednesday! Nothing to dislike.

Compared with other hotels I have stayed in in central Paris I thought the Hotel Anya was exceptional value for money. I chose the location because it is near the Gare du Lyon, where I was travelling from the following day. It's not right in the tourist centre of Paris but it's a pleasant and very Parisian neighbourhood, with lively cafes and restaurants in the surrounding streets. And the restaurant recommended by the hotel was excellent - very French cuisine and not expensive.

Nothing really! The room was quite small but perfectly adequate for my needs.

Extremely friendly staff, incredible location, cosy bed, not too loud outside, shower worked okay, all in all it did the job excellently! The owners also happily minded our bags for us on the last day. Would definitely return here next time we stay in Paris.

It's an incredibly tiny nitpick but a small ledge above my side of the bed to put my glasses or phone would have been nice! It was my partner's birthday so of course she got the side with the cabinet, haha!

I loved staying at Hotel Anya. It was so authentically Parisian and way better than staying in a chain hotel. I loved my small, exactly as I expected, Paris hotel room. The staff, who I think are the owners, were so friendly and welcoming and helpful and accommodating. And the location is excellent, in a regular city neighbourhood with lots of local flavour - cafes and bars and shops and parks. It is less than a minute's walk to the Metro. Most days I walked down through Place de la Bastille to the very centre of the city. I would definitely stay in Hotel Anya again. It's perfect for a single traveller or a couple.

I liked everything.

The staff are very friendly, the hotel is quiet and very well located, near the metro station, restaurants and shops, it is in a very nice and safe district, with an amazing boulangerie opposite, in Voltaire Boulevard. The room was very basic and clean. If you only take a shower and sleep here, this is all you need:)

Can't really complain about anything if you see the pictures before making a reservation - you know how the place (including very small bathrooms) looks. :)

This is one of my favourite hotel in Paris, you are right in the center of everything, metro, café, restaurants, walking distance to république square. a self-service laundromat is right on the other side of the building. metro station Voltaire is literally 2 mins walk. The owner is super friendly and helpful. My room is cleaned up everyday. I absolutely love this little hotel, and definitely will stay here again.

Nothing at all. However, hotel does not have an elevator, this might be an issue for some travellers who has big luggages.

The staff are amazing and they try very hard to be as helpfull as possible ,there is warm water (although you have to wait a while) and they bring you all the extra towels and blankets you want. The most EXEPTIONAL part is how close it is to them Metro station and the lines that you can take there take you in a couple minutes to the eiffel tower ,arc de triumph and many other MUST SEE places!

The rooms are small and so are the bathrooms and there is no housekeeping however the price can not be beat so it is a tradeoff I would make again(save that money for the food)
