Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, the room had reasonable blackout curtains. The heating was easy to control and so we were able the set the right temperature in the room. Two decent windows in the room let lots of light. We had room 404 so was up high and looked onto those typical French roofs which was nice. We did not spend a lot of time in the room so can’t report on the TV or entertainment. Staff were very attentive and super helpful.

It’s a pretty basic hotel with no frills. The room is compact. The elevator is very small so if you are claustrophobic and get a room on the upper levels you will struggle.

Excellent location for public transport with the Ecole Militaire tube station just outside ( only 2 stops to RER trains) and excellent supermarket next door. The hotel is also a few minutes walk to Rue Cler which has excellent restaurants which don't have to be booked. The parking spaces on the road are free after 7pm until 9am and the Cambronne car park ( 20 minute walk away) was excellent value at around 17 Euros per day ( advertised as a discounted rate). It was not possible to book the parking in advance during the Olympics but there were plenty of spaces. Like others we found the staff most helpful.

We were only on the second floor so were able to avoid using the lift which is small . A minor downside for us.

When it said "view of the Eiffel Tower", we were not expecting a full, unobstructed, perfect view. It was so perfect. Watching her sparkle every night is something I will never forget. The metro stop was right outside our door. The neighborhood was alive, yet safe. Great restaurants around every corner + a market right downstairs.

The 7 story walk up to the room was a little rough, but worth it for the view. I didn't think to look to see if the hotel had an elevator.

Hotel Royal Phare has an EXCELLENT location in the 7th surrounded by restaurants, bakeries, and key sights like the Eiffel, Rue Cler, and Invalides. While we didn't spend much time in our room, it met all of our basic needs and was clean.

Given that this is a 3-star hotel, I went in with my expectations appropriate adjusted and so it really did meet all my expectations! The room was quite cozy, which we were aware of beforehand, but we made due with the space. We got a complimentary upgrade to a room with a balcony, which really enhanced our stay as we could sit outside to eat and chat. The location was absolutely perfect right by the Ecole Militaire metro and bus stops.

We had a great room on the 6th floor with a view of the Eiffel Tower. There was a small lift in the hotel but the stairs weren’t too difficult. The room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was very clean and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The location of hotel was perfect - there is a metro station outside the front door, a supermarket next door and a good selection of restaurants and cafes around the hotel that open early and close late. You can walk to the Hotel de Invalides and the Eiffel Tower within 10/15minutes.

Location is near the Eiffel Tower next to the Ecole Militare Metro station. There is an ATM and a grocery store next door. Hotel is in a narrow seven story building with four rooms on each floor. Lots of stairs and a tiny one person elevator. Reception is on the first floor with only stairs leading up to it. You can order breakfast for 12€. The two rooms facing the courtyard has a partial view of the Eiffel Tower. Room is with a modern decor. Has a coffee maker and tea kettle, mini bar with reasonably priced items. Bathroom is modern with updated tiles, hairdryer and mirrors with a heated towel rack. Just be careful in the shower as the floor is very slippery, could use some anti slip strips in there. Our room had two tall windows that when closed made the room very quiet. The drapes blocked out all the lights when pulled closed. Plenty of electrical outlets with a room safe in the closet, two chairs with a small desk. Room has a working air conditioner. Flat screen tv on the wall. Good location and reasonable priced for being in Paris.

No refill of coffee pods or tea bags only supplied for the first day of a five day stay . Tiny elevator only room for one person.

It's a very nice place close to the Eiffel tower. The staff was super nice and the gave us a room where we have a view of the tower. Public transport is basically at the hotel door as well as tons of places to shop or eat at.

The lift is super small, although if you are traveling as a couple, that actually adds to the romantic ambiance, so I'm just adding this a a negative comment if you have more than one bag, then you will have to make at least two turns with the lift or bring your luggage up the stairs. Still, it's a menial thing.

Location was great. Walking distance to Champ De Mars and the Eiffel Tower. Staff was very accommodating. Bathroom was nice and clean. Room best categorized as all the essentials to have a good stay.

There were a couple of things i didnt like. The lift was small. For building access, you had to be let into the hotel(access) from the street. Other than that, I expected different outlets/adapters in the room and had to purchase from a local vendor. However, Staff let me borrow their adapter until I purchased my own.

This hotel met my expectations.It's budget friendly and great value that exceeds the cost. Location was excellent, with lots of restaurants, bars, supermarket, Bureau d'change office and lots of tourists buzzing the street, and just 10-15mins walk to the Eiffel Tower. Arrived with my wife very late at night and the staff on duty was extremely welcoming and helpful. He even had to offer us lots of Croissants to eat free of charge since we couldn't get anywhere to eat, cos we only had USD currency at the time of our arrival and it was past midnight. Rooms are just comfortable, convenient and extremely clean. I will recommend anytime.

Lift was quite small, but not bad for the size of the building. Still a great place for a budget.

One of the most complete great value hotels I've ever stayed at in Paris! Perfect location, literally a couple of steps from the Metro and near the Eiffel Tour and Ecole Militaire. Spotless rooms that were recently tastefully remodeled with really pretty spotless bathrooms. Wonderful room lighting. A great desk, and a ledge behind the bed to hold extras. Very good number of electrical plugs. The hot water pot, and coffee maker (Nespresso) were lifesavers. The rooms were not huge, but very reasonably sized, and thoughtfully furnished and laid out. They were also very quiet. Front desk gentlemen were lovely! One on my favorite stays in Paris!!

So happy they had an elevator, just know it is very small.
