This is an exceptional guest house. It is a beautiful house, wonderful gardens and very attentive kind hosts. We felt immediately comfortable and welcomed. The hosts are amazing and the owner prepares many breakfast items herself, paying particular attention to small details. I cannot recommend Villa Maria enough, it was enchanting and restful. We will most definitely make it our only place to stay when in the region. Absolutely superb!

Villa Maria is a charming, authentic bed-and-breakfast-type stay, effectively a large home in which the owners and family reside with a number of additional and spacious bedrooms that they expertly let out, we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. We stayed in the spacious family suite, an entire upstairs private wing with two large bedrooms separated by a lovely spa-like bathroom and separate toilet room, with the owners providing all of the smallest highest-quality amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the traditional breakfast, w fresh breads and even honey by their very own bees on the property no less, all prepared for us at the time of our choosing each morning. The indoor pool facility is a real highlight, we thoroughly enjoyed making use of it, and given the still relatively small size of the property, usually enjoyed having it all to ourselves on actually two different stays now. We'll be back!

Spotty/limited WiFi in some areas. but not overly concerning.

Our second stay and still as exceptionally wonderful. Audrey is the most helpful host, and she even helped us out when we were in a panic about a sudden issue with our car and made us Mirabelle tartelettes! I love the beautiful peaceful surroundings of the garden especially. They reminded me a lot of my childhood. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Villa Maria is a fabulous place to stay. The room was comfortable and the decor beautiful and homely. The host gave us a warm welcome and made sure we understood how everything works. She also sells her own honey and.makes beautiful soaps and gifts. The Restaurant de la Gare at the junction of the same road is a great place to have dinner. The Plat du Jour was delicious and the service was friendly. It is a good location to explore the area. The citadel in Bitche is definitely worth a visit. It has a good underground audio visual tour in several languages. It's a truly astonishing place looming high above the town.

Very beautiful location! Our host Audrey is very skilled and creative and makes you feel at home. In the morning she served us breakfast with home-made marmalade, delicious French bread and even honey from their own bee-farm! Excellent hospitality and very child-friendly environment. Nights are calm and quiet. The rooms can be hot though in the Summer, but with open windows still ok. We loved staying here!

Breakfast was amazing, local plum jam and honey made at the property by the host. Bread was freshly baked and coffee was superb. Fresh cocoa for the kids and a really relaxed start to the day. Property was remote however perfect for us on our journey. Nearby EV charger at the top of the road and at. Nearby McDonald's.

not a negative point but for info: the rooms are part of the family house, which means you stay in their family life. the family is used to it and very accommodating, but good to know if it’s not your thing :-)

The house is set in a beautiful garden. It has a small indoor swimming pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Audrey is very attentive and helpful. The generous breakfast included her own honey and jam There is a good simple restaurant within easy walking distance (not weekends).

This part of the village is a bit run down following the closure of the railway station.

The house is absolutely lovely and Audrey is a charming host. We had the family suite, which had plenty of room for the four of us. The gardens are delightful and it was such a bonus to finish a hot day of walking with a swim in the pool.
