Charming and helpful staff. Wine from the owners many estates (Pez des Ormes, Lynch-Bages, Haut Batailley) is available to buy at prices slightly lower than in shops. Sunny lawn with swallows and one hare. The owners offered a free visit to Lynch-Bages (they do this if space available) the next morning. Since there were not many people staying (only 5 rooms) it felt like we had the Chateau to ourselves!

Very few restaurants nearby, and virtually none within walking distance. Even fewer open Sunday/Monday - need to book well in advance. Better to buy a picnic and enjoy on the lawn with a bottle of their Haut Batailley!

The experience at Château Ormes de Pez was superb! The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent and the wines in the cellar gorgeous. The tour at Château Lynch Bages, arranged by Château Ormes de Pez was very special and a very worthwhile added bonus for any wine lover. Note, this is a small delightful Chateau. If you're looking for big, grandiose and luxurious, look elsewhere.

Beautiful chateau in Medoc. The host Gil and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful in arranging for a driver when needed and encouraging us to use the cozy kitchen and dining room for evening snacks Breakfast is excellent. The grounds are lovely but we were unable to enjoy them due to rain. We appreciated the complimentary wine tasting and tour at the Chateau Lynch-Bages. We highly recommend this little gem in St. Estephe.

Beautiful chateau in the heart of Medoc. The small staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Gil goes the full mile to arrange a driver when needed and speaks English well. Breakfast was excellent and one is able to use the dining room and small French kitchen for an evening snack. The complimentary wine tasting and tour of the Chateau Lynch-Bages in Pauillac was informative and delightful. We recommend highly.

The rain which kept us from enjoying the grounds.

The room was VERY spacious and had a nice view to the back gardens. Giles, the house manager was lovely, very accommodating. The house has lots of extra rooms to lounge in with reading material and games. There are only 5 rooms in this big house, so very comfortable and quiet.

The location is about 20-30 minutes from most of the wine tasting you will do. If Giles is not there, there may not be anyone to answer the door (if you got there early for example). The breakfast was good, not great.

Gilles made our stay at the Chateau Ormes de Pez, and our first trip into the countryside of France wonderful. He and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, but also helping us to enjoy as much of the area as we could. He made dinner reservations, suggested Chateaus to visit, and gave insight into the local culture.

We did not stay longer! Bordeaux is a beautiful area of France even when it rains!

Lovely property, with loads of old fashioned charm as expected from an older, romantic, small French chateau. Super nice and helpful staff who gladly provided us with plates, silverware, and glasses so we could share our evening picnic and a bottle of wine with a couple of other guests, which we did first on the patio before we moved to the large wooden table in the warm kitchen.

Very warm welcome on arrival, with thoughtful explanations to make our stay comfortable. Beautiful decor throughout, lovely grounds to walk around, 2 magnificent magnolia trees. We went out for dinner to one of Gilles recommendations that had been sent to us prior to arrival. Beautiful. Excellent breakfast, everything fresh with nice variety. We visited their other Winery Chateau Lynch Bages which was also excellent.

Comfortable individually furnished and spacious room in a little chateau with great views and direct access onto the parc. Outdoor Pool, a haven of peace. Good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and scrambled eggs. We were able to check in upon arrival, in the morning. Parking available without reservation. Giles the intendant is a fantastic host. He sends a list of recommended restaurants in the area well in advance. He also arranged for us a free wine tasting at Chateau Lynch-Bages the next morning which was a great experience, we learned a lot about this leading vignoble.

Everything was perfect. Maybe one small detail: the outdoor pool was very cold, definitely not heated.

We had an amazing stay for two nights - hosted by the wonderful Gils - was so helpful - attentive. Staying in the chateau was an unreal experience. - we had a beautiful warm sunny room - it was lovely to have the shutter options open or closed. Breakfast was spectacular - the facilities so impressive - the pool was delightful - The Lynch Bages winery tour was amazing - and Gils also made bookings for us at Cafe Lavinal for lunch - do these two things if you stay here as its impressive. Gils helped us with everything we needed in the kitchen as we had provisions for one of the nights - they even did all of our washing which was so lovely of them - wine was left and access to beer - payment on check out and so wonderful to wander through the property - front door easy to use - loved meeting the chateaus cat bebe. It was so amazing to wake to vineyard staff working away as the sun rose - everything is close to Ormes De Pez - in a great part of St Estephe. Loved the coffee machine in the room. Thank you Gils for a great visit and so nice to meet you.

Just know there are no lifts in the chateau - it would ruin it to have it - but maybe organise bags if yours are heavy like ours were as we were away for 6 weeks - we managed the spiral stairs
