We liked everything about Le Jardin de Saint Jean! The hosts are lovely and happy to help, their house is traditional, rustic and shabby chic, just to our liking, the rooms all have their own entrance from the garden and little patio with table and chairs, our room and bathroom were spacious and comfy. Dogs are welcome, and their gardens are out of this world, lush and gorgeous, with stream and lake running through the grounds, quiet and secluded, yet very close to the village and the castle. We would definitely stay there again!

A beautiful garden, exceptionally comfortable bed in a delightful room. We were made so very welcome by the charming hosts, who are putting heart and soul into their business, making it a such a special place to stay. Breakfast was excellent with delicious home made jams and honey from their own bees. The location was perfect too. We can’t wait to return. Thank you both so much for a lovely stay.

We loved our stay at this establishment, the owner is very kind and offers us a very familiar and careful welcome, which gives us the feeling of being at home. We had a wonderful stay - the location is fantastic, the garden feels like a little eden, the room was very comfy and the breakfast was delicious. On top, Juana and her partner were very kind and welcoming. We would love to come back one day!

The location is superb - in the middle of the woods, yet close to a village. If you love peace and quiet and a crazy, beautiful garden, this is the place for you! Juana gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. The ground floor bedroom was beautiful with a comfortable bed and lovely finishing touches like bathrobes and slippers.

The location of this b and b was beautiful it was so easy to relax here. Our room was lovely very clean and comfy bed. Our breakfast was incredible with jams and honey homemade nothing was to much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome.

A little hot in the room at night as no air con in summer but we managed well with the windows open.

It’s an absolute delight. The location is perfect for strolling into the pretty village and hiking in the forest. The proprietors couldn’t have been lovelier or more welcoming. The room was one of the nicest I’ve stayed in, warm and comfortable, and the breakfast was scrumptious. I hope to visit again next year.

Not a single thing.

This B&B is located at a beautiful location just outside the village. It has several stays and has a little pond and some small animals (cat & walking ducks) on the property. The host only spoke french, but with a little help of google translate we could converse very well, she was really helpful and patient and showed us all. The breakfast was a standard breakfast you find in this area of France and was just great to start the day with.

Lovely little place just outside the village with quirky individual styling, fantastic interesting gardens. We were served a lovely breakfast with homemade jams and honey from the hives in the garden. Our host was very friendly and very patient with are lack of French. Woods all around for walking the dogs and lots of quaint (and very tidy) villages in the area, not least Saint-Jean-aux-bois.
