We liked the spacious comfortable bedrooms. Good size beds. The warm cookie on arrival. The very friendly staff who spoke such good English! We stopped for one night on the way south and it was nice for that. The restaurant had a very limited menu, four starters and four mains. A little pricey but good quality. Cesar salads were a good choice. The tram runs along the outside which would be so handy for central Lyon if there was more time. The hotel is very dog friendly with no extra charge and they welcomed him into the restaurant! Nice green area for a dog walk behind and beside it.

Nothing to dislike. It was a great stopover for going south.

Overall, our stay at DoubleTree hotel was comfortable, and we appreciated the air-conditioned rooms, which made a big difference. As a family of five, we booked two rooms, which worked well for us. The hotel offered a good breakfast selection, though the dinner options were somewhat limited. The location is convenient, being just 15-20 minutes from the city center, and there’s public transportation available right outside the hotel, making it easy to get around if you don not have a car. Additionally, there’s a small shopping center located just down the street, which was a nice bonus. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Really friendly and welcoming staff. On site complementary parking. Good size bedroom and shower room, immaculately clean and with one of the best and most comfortable beds ever! We didn’t have breakfast, so can’t comment. Location was quiet, but possibly a car ride to shops and a couple of restaurants. A bus/tram went from near the hotel so might have been a great way of getting into the city.

They have an eco air replacement system, not air conditioner, which didn’t seem to work very well. However they offered a different room or a fan. As we were so settled, we had the fan - so all good.

The room was spacious and the breakfast was very good. Even though it was little bit far away from the city center, it is very convenient to reach the city through tram T2, the station is about 200 meter away from the hotel. Secured parking was also available and free, which is a plus.

The only problem I have is that I have booked twice the reservation on my credit card with 2000 Euros, until today when I write this review, 18 days after we have checked out the hotel, this reservation is still not released on my credit card!!! Which is so annoying and even after I called the hotel twice!!! Hope that Booking can solve this problem as soon as possible. This is really not acceptable :(

I most definitely need to commend Mathieu at the reception. He was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and made our stay much more comfortable. His exceptional service stood out and made a significant difference.

The room was well-appointed and I was pleased to have kettle (see what I didn't like). The bed was very comfortable and the restaurant was very accomodating. I had an excellent evening meal.

I had an early departure and there was no hot water for a shower at 06.00 - surprising and disappointing. I was able to use the room kettle to provide hot water for a wash and when I mentioned the lack of hot water to Reception I was given a discount on the room rate.

Exceptional service from the moment we arrived to checking out. Jeremy took to our six year old grandson like a long lost uncle would and gave him cookies! The restaurant, bar and breakfast were top class, I wish I had known about this chain previously. Perfect location for Lyon airport, all staff speak good English, just a top class place to stay.

Sarah at reception was so very lovely and welcoming; we couldn't have asked for a friendlier nor more helpful check-in. The free undercover parking is a bonus, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was also very nice, and although the staff were busy, they still made me a decaf coffee. Easy access to Lyon with the tram stop just by the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived, they told us that there was no hot water available due to a technical issue. They were willing to find a solution for us in another hotel, but after a long trip we decided to stay. They offered us a free breakfast and we didn't had to pay the fee of 25 € for our dog. We were satisfied with this deal.

The bar is clearly understaffed. Same barman is serving the restaurant, bar and probably smth else, so during the lunch service no way to get even anything at the bar. Pitty
