The location on the banks of the Loire and a few km from the lovely town of Sancerre is excellent. Our room looked out over the river and was very spacious and furnished to a high standard with antique furniture (so much more comfortable than modern hotels). The young man who greeted us was extremely smartly dressed and without being asked assisted us with our luggage. He was extremely helpful and we felt comfortable and at home immediately. The breakfast room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast itself moe than adequate. We will definitely book again we enjoyed our short stay so much.

Possibly a small fridge in the room would have been useful, but its not really an issue for us. Otherwise nothing

A very welcoming hotel, firstly a very polite, friendly and professional young man at reception (we chatted about football). The room was large and airy, clean and with character (no identikit corporate style here). There was a space to store my bike overnight, and parking available or easy to find on the street for those in a car. It is literally on the eurovelo 6/ Nevers to Orléans cycle route so no deviation necessary, which allowed me to leave my stuff in my room and then cycle up the massive hill to visit Sancerre without having to lug everything up. There's no evening restaurant but there are some places around the hotel or lots of choice in Sancerre. Breakfast was nice with a good choice typical for this level of hotel and a fair price. Discounted for children I think. Can completely recommend, especially for cyclists due to its location.

the guy on reception was very friendly and super helpful, even reserving us a table at the restaurant across the road. The room was clean and well presented, the bed being very comfortable. The wifi connection was good. Walks in the evening are very pleasant along the river and around the boat yard. Not too far off the motorway, allowing a better stop that the regular chain hotels based alongside the motorways. There is a good bakers within a 2 minute walk, which opens at 07.00 should you wish to buy breakfast and get-on-the-road early.

breakfast was pretty pricey. You are vulnerable with only a few restaurants being available within walking distance; having stayed here previously we have been caught out with none being open. However, when the restaurant across the road is open the food is good and reasonably well priced. Only on street parking is available, so if you are nervous about your car or motorcycle be aware. However, we have never had an issue over the years we have stayed here.

Nice location for an evening walk thru town. Room overlooked Loire River. Clean and nicely decorated. Good breakfast. Reception host helped with taking bicycle panniers to our room, which was appreciated. In addition, reception offered to put our soaked cycling clothes in clothes dryer after riding 4+ hrs in steady rain, which was nice to offer. Secure and covered bicycle storage was provided.

Not an issue for us, but some guests could have difficulty with numerous stairs while carrying luggage.

This hotel is ideal for a night or two when in this part of the Loire. We were interested in wines in Sancerre, Tracy and Pouilly. The hotel is also ideal for cycling tours - there were cyclists staying there when we were there. It is very easy to find, right on the river and with a very good restaurant across the road. Room was very comfortable and breakfast good.

The hotel is in a wonderful location with quick access to the Tracy Sancerre (Tracy sur Loire) SNCF station, as well as a 10 minute drive/30 minute walk to the village of Sancerre. We stayed at the quadruple room, which had one double bed and two single beds, outfitted with beautiful furniture, and featured a view of the Loire River. The hotel is located right off of the EV6 (Eurovelo 6, and Loire a Velo) bicycle route, and they were able to secure our bicycles in a covered area. The host was very gracious and accommodating, and we happily recommend this place for anyone looking to stay a night to explore the neighborhood.

The location was pretty by the side of the Loire. We liked the individual style of the bedrooms. The hotel made a booking for the restaurant which was excellent and we enjoyed the local wine. We found it a good half way stop when travelling between Spain and the UK.

Local style and friendly

Every aspect was a delight, from the location so close to the Loire to the manager who booked us a table for dinner to the super clean comfortable room to the delicious breakfast personally served the next morning. We loved this stay!

Easy to find with good local parking. Although an older building it is very traditional and charming with excellent, helpful staff. Breakfast was good quality.

The staircase to the rooms is narrow for carrying larger luggage.

Breakfast felt a little expensive for what it was. €12 Croissants were baked on site rather from a bakery and some were undercooked/raw.
