Very clean and well furnished. Lovely rooms and a spacious communal area downstairs to enjoy. Breakfasts were superb as were all meals. The location is incredible with amazing views.

We used to visit this property every year when we were in the area. Back then, there was a crêperie and bar by the pool and you could spend time there without being a resident. Now you have to stay at the hotel to gain access to the pool. Sadly there is no longer a bar there or any food, although you can go back across to the hotel for cold cans.

Incredible village, One of the prettiest I have ever seen. The accommodation is perfect. Clean rooms, excellent facilities and superb location. Lots of parking. We will definitely be back for longer next time. We had dinner in the restaurant. The staff are great, really friendly and the food was excellent. The bfast was also excellent. We had a 10 month old baby with us and a cot was supplied for him as well. I highly recommend. Good idea to book dinner in advance.

Be aware there are stairs to the rooms.

Oh my word...the location is out of this world! It is beautiful, calm, relaxing, just stunning and well worth my stress to ride scary mountains on my motorbike behind my husband. The canyon river is beautiful, the walk up the mountain side is stunning (please take a hat, sunscreen and water-we were not prepared!) There is only the hotel restaurant to eat at so you can try different dishes each night. The food was fine (a bit boring by the second night) as was the breakfast which is very basic. One can rent canoes in another town which was a pity as we were there on motorbikes and not possible to leave motorbike clothing at the starting point. They have a pool with a glass cover over it-it was 24 degrees, felt a bit cool when we popped in but warmed up after a while. It is outdoors and not indoors, hence why they put a cover over it. People were hiking, swimming, cycling in the canyon, it is truly photo worthy. I must make a note that the "big manager" (I was not sure whether she is the owner or Head Manager-tried to translate from French to English) was super helpful in limited English, we really appreciated her help in translating food, drinks, bill etc for us & she works very hard & is very efficient. Parking was free & our motorbikes were fine-they offered a garage to park them in but i was not comfortable with the little uphill to get in, so we left them at the bottom. The room was small but we managed, the bathroom is compact but the shower is nice & hot (chose an entry level room with no balcony). The view from the room is lovely, the shutters makes it nice and dark and it is quiet except when the room next door comes in for bedtime.

Obviously being in the mountains there are no lifts to get your luggage to the rooms which are in different buildings-be prepared for a small hike to your room, you could always ask the staff to help if a bit heavy but my husband managed it by himself. The internet keeps on disconnecting and there was no signal for my mobile phone in the room so you were dependant on the wifi which you had to log in to every couple of minutes. My mobile data worked when i was closer to the restaurant or the bridge.

Beautiful location, great weather n friendly accommodating staff. Food was nice but the menu didn't change. The pool was lovely to have a cool down but people smoked regardless of signage.

The flies! Mattress n bolster way too uncomfortable. The pool should have been uncovered when we arrived. The pool area needs a good tidy up.

Excellent location, beautiful buildings and nice rooms. The kitchen is unbelievably good! Highly recommended. The surroundings are equally very beautiful, hiking upriver or downriver follows stunning trails.

As I arrived the booked room had no Wifi. But I got the offer of a room charge, which solved the problem. Well done!

Stunning situation in the heart of the Gorges du Tarn. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The optional breakfast was superb and we'll worth the extra. The swimming pool and sunbathing terrace was a bonus. We also ate our evening meals at the hotel - very good.

Great restaurant and breakfast. Incredible location, scenic doesn't even begin to describe it - must see. I accidentally left a t-shirt in the roomand they forwarded it very efficiently to an address in France. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Room was a little small and some bathroom fittings were wobbly / hanging off. This seems relatively common in France for some reason so maybe maintenance staff don't see it as something that needs fixing.

A lovely location right next to the river. Excellent food albeit choice was a bit limited

Room was on the small size but was very comfortable. The steps up to the room won't suit everybody!

Despite being surrounded by one of the most beautiful regions in Europe, St Chely is a magical gem that still sparkles. The Auberge seems to have taken over most of the village and their restaurant on the square is the focal point. They have a chef who knows his stuff in the kitchen and a retenue of helpful multinational staff. This is France at its best!

We loved everything about this place!
