Great place, would truly recommend. Location is the best possible: it's right in the city centre, right next to the city beach, and 50m from Theatre de la Mer bus station - however, it's just far enough from the main busy streets with restaurants, so it's calm and quiet at night. AC is powerful, which is was very important for us. There is daily room service. Hotel generally feels nice and clean, even though of course it's an older building and older hotel. We were checking in late in the evening and the property provided us with full information about how to get in.

The hotel is hosted by a super nice family. They can also speak Spanish and were really welcoming, helpful and easy to talk to The hotel has a strategic location, one block away from the city center, from the beach and from the bus stop that takes you everywhere. Great value for money as you can reach Saint Tropez as well from the harbor near the hotel that takes only 15 minutes to cross to the other Coast. The beaches are also nice in Saint Maxime. I'd definitely recommend this place and probably go back here.

Nothing serious to highlight.

Great interior decoration, nice breakfast at the yard under a lemon tree, fresh grounded coffee, a bit of everything for breakfast, fruit juices, yogurt, baguette, crossant, fruit gel, cakes, chocolat cakes… very kind stuff and great service. Very good location, walkable distance to ferry quai, restaurants, beach and the tourism office where you can find some quality souvenirs. You can buy ferry ticket for Saint Tropez from the hotel front desk.

At the end of September, with comfortable weather, AC is not necessary. No experience in summer here yet. I guess they must have other solution.

There is no lift, and you can hear noises from neighboring rooms and neighboring floors. The hotel is dated and the first free parking we found nearby is a 15 minute walk away. However, the staff is really friendly and accommodates all time requirements, allowing us to check in even after the reception closes. Excellent location: Structure in the center with excellent value for money.

Have been here before, and will definitely go again. It is well located, close to everything, and the staff are great and the value is hard to beat.

This is not something they can change, but long-term parking is difficult nearby; however, out of season, there is free public parking in town some 300 m to the south of hotel, which is very difficult to find in most seaside towns in the region.

Everything at Hotel le Chardon Bleu exceeded our expectations. From the location (just steps to the main beach), to the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, to all of the helpful and friendly staff, we didn't want to leave! We even extended our stay by another night. I hope to return one day.

Good location near the center. The disadvantage is that we were on a motorcycle, and we carried all our bags and luggage by hand through about 6 corridors to the room at the end of the hotel. The corridors are narrow and that was the only disadvantage. If we had a room near the entrance, it would help a lot. Otherwise, a nice hotel, also the cleanliness and size of the room

Top of the great things about this note is the staff, they are fantastically welcoming. This hotel has been described as noisy, and it can be, but that is because it’s right in the centre of town and you cannot expect it to be quiet. We slept with our windows open but the room had Aircon if needed. Just 100m from the lanes and alleys that make St Máxime interesting at night. We easily parked outside the hotel on the street.

Very close to beach and town- ideal location. Very clean with excellent daily housekeeping- first class service. Welcoming and helpful owners.

Rather thin walls & doors do not close quietly- key cards would be an improvement.

Hotel is perfectly located because it's among the many fantastic cafes and boutiques, also across from the beach and very near transportation options. The breakfast, served al fresco in the enclosed garden patio area, was delicious, baked fresh daily by the owner and included baked croissants and cakes that were among the best we'd had in the the area easily The rooms are small but we were out most of the time. The shower clean and recently updated. Fine. The owners and onsite staff were extremely helpful and warm and made our stay much more authentic and enjoyable. It was so sweet to daily see their two adorable little dogs sleeping in the lounge area. The dining area also is very chic and useful. This hotel is like a little oasis right in the heart of Sainte Maxime.
