We both really enjoyed our stay at the Abbaye de Sainte Croix. As others have already explained, the location and the views were genuinely exceptional. Our room was clean, simple and very quiet – parfait. We had dinner on the terrace overlooking Salon de Provence. I had high expectations, given the menu and the chef's reputation, but was blown away by the quality of the ingredients, flavours and presentation. It really was fine dining.

Two small things: I thought the waiting staff were a bit young and inexperienced. Such fine food should have been served by slightly more experienced staff. That said, our waiter was pleasant and helpful. The only other negative was that pretty much all of the pot plants throughout the entire hotel were dead. The weeds seemed to be doing fine, but the whole experience would have been so much more enjoyable had there been beautiful pot plants. Also, it's a bit tacky having plastic plants on the table when such exceptional food is/was being served.

Absolutely stunning historic and authentic place and best service we ever got in France! Amazing location with a best terrace with a view from the hill on the whole Provence, great breakfasts and dinners on that terrace, great swimming pool, big and comfortable parking, but the best highlight - people! Everyone is super helpful, polite, doing their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. And restaurant probably very close if not to a star, but to be mentioned in the guide! We bought wine from one of the vineyards but never had a chance to open it so they easily agreed to serve it to us during dinner - we were very surprised they did as they had all the rights to say no!

We had a clogged bathroom but even here can’t complain-was solved in 15 minutes! I’d say it’s one more “thing to like” rather than a problem

. It was a beautiful Abbey, really neat building and I imagine interesting, varying rooms and the view from the main area was lovely. The breakfast was really nice, more than the basic baguette and croissant. Overall very nice stay,peaceful place away from the city.

We stayed in the lowest level room, It was nice, and we had a door onto the grounds, but it seemed thing were still being prepared for spring so it was not totally cleaned up. We also had ants in our room, but they came and dealt with it. The pool was not open yet, and that was not noted on booking.com so that was dissapointing, as well the room descriptions were not very clear, I would have liked to know more of what the next level of room would have been or how to have a room with a better view, etc. I had received a message from booking.com saying the room did not have a bathroom, which was not accurate. I asked about upgrading the room, but did not to seem to understand my inquiry.

I simply loved everything about this property- location, views, architecture, staff, facilities - you name it! Communication was great before arrival and during our stay ! Every time we were greeted with lovely smiles and utterly helpful people. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the pool area is amazing- water clean and views are spectacular. Location is secluded and there’s a nice calm vibe about this property. I would love to return and stay longer. Can’t comment on the food/ prices since we didn’t get to try their menus! - short stay! Some bits and bobs could be reviewed and updated, particularly in the bathrooms but the overall experience out passes the pitfalls !

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The situation is incredible. Breakfast was excellent. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. The bed was super, and I like that there is no stress about housekeeping. The decoration was tasteful, and you can tell a lot of love went into the renovation.

The road. Leading up to the hotel is a 500m long goat path full of potholes. Not the best for a normal car - luckily we had a raised hatchback. If you meet someone coming the opposite way - good luck. The bathrooms could use an update.

Hilarious place on the hill above Salone de Provence. Beautiful views and sunset. The place is very comfortable and offers a high quality of service. We stopped only for 1 night on our way to Spain. But we would like to come back for a longer stay. The restaurant was great, the breakfast was great. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. And the surrounding very quite. We slept well

I can not say anything negative about this place. It is superb. Highly recommend to visit.

We had a lovely and beautifully-appointed room overlooking the valley below. The friendly staff gave us a warm welcome and helped us with a dinner recommendation when we arrived. Breakfast was a little expensive but there was plenty on offer. We really enjoyed our stay - the location was the highlight.

We probably would have preferred to eat at the Abbaye rather than go into Salon de Provence but there was only a very formal dinner option available in-house. The pool was not open although it was advertised as open.

It's a shame we only stayed one night at Garrigae Abbey, because there was much to enjoy at the hotel. We sat near the pool as the sun went down (the water was a bit chilly to really stay in for long) we had dinner inside the restaurant (upon the advice of the staff who said it was very buggy outside) and the food was delicious. We went outside for drinks afterwards and it was a beautiful view from the terrace. Our room was very large with not just one balcony, but a small staircase which took you up to a private 2nd balcony with lounge chairs.

The only complaint I have is that gravel in the parking lot and the path to the front desk made it very difficult to roll your luggage into the hotel. There was no bell boy to help either.

Beautiful building with great views. There is a private sauna. It's an experience staying at an abbaye!

The shower was too small for tall people. There was mold on the walls of the bathroom. There was no shampoo. We tried the restaurant, and it was widely overpriced. The menu seemed nice, but the food was extremely weird and not pleasant (mushroom ice-cream with chocolate, tasteless starter, and smoked, full of fat lamb...)

the staff were amazing and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant and accommodating our baby. the place has a breathtaking view. Breakfast was great and suitable for our 1.5 years old (would suit even younger fellows). we used the massage service and enjoyed it! the room had a lovely terrace.

the hotel is really good and there is nothing not to like. If making an effort to find the disadvantages: for a family with a 1.5 years old the room was a bit small (although in a normal size, just don’t expect something huge). also, if you are a heavy user of a hairdryer - bring it with you as the one in the room isn’t that great. the hotel restaurant was a nice option for dinner and they had kids menu; but we had better dinners in other restaurants around the area within this price range.
