I'm not sure if a review and photos do this hotel any justice, as it's truly a one of a kind experience you have to see to believe. The conscious design choices throughout the hotel accentuated the structural narrative as a haven of tranquillity. Every choice worked – from the use of scent to immediately immerse you into serenity; to the bathmat fitting perfectly in the gap it was designed for, whilst being softly embossed with the hotel branding; to the way the headboard was intermittently curved to provide a comfortable backrest; the delicate influence of surf & seaside culture was visible through the palatable curation of soft furnishings, plants, literature, and sculptural & print artwork, which simply adorned the beautifully varnished wooden features and milky walls, that were politely broken up by the occasional muted fruity hue. The decor captivated the laidback lifestyle of Contis-les-Bains, but the beauty of the hotel transcended from the building's natural coalition of a large colonial structure with a subtle Japanese influence that enlightened the serenity of your experience. My room was nestled in the far corner of the hotel, and I could even see the horizon peeping through the sand dunes over the neighbouring rooftops, and the starry sky view from my private balcony was like nothing I've seen before. Not only was the hotel aesthetically exquisite, but the owners were also kind and really cool. Lu and Matt opened communication before I checked in and shared their knowledge to help me find an appropriate route to town. Their compassion was clear from the offset, which made me feel safe with my choice to stay here as a solo traveller. Everyone graciously spoke to me in English reassured me about my lack of confidence speaking French, but it's courteous to learn.

The hotel is perfectly located, and the room (Garden Suite) was large and comfortable. There are lots of other areas around the complex to relax. But most of all, the team are incredible… we felt so welcomed by Lu and Matt, and they went out of the their way to help us settle after a long walk in the rain, and gave us great tips on where to eat and drink. Lu made time to chat to us and was more like a lovely bed and breakfast host than a hotel manager. We would recommend this place to anyone and we can’t wait to stay again.

A lovely and relaxing place to stay close to the each Quality bed l’inné. Towels and shampoos Nice and well prepared breakfast with possibility to sit on terrace with nice view of entrance to beach and sand dunes. Well looked after by hotel manager ( Belgian) who is personalised in the the way he gives service
