Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends/family. Whilst listed as a 3 star hotel, this place had 5 star service. We arrived later than anticipated and Yannick immediately arranged dinner for us in the nearby town and his wife even drove us there! They offered great advice on nearby attractions and places of interest, as well as places to dine, even booked them in for us. The breakfast was a great treat each morning, and the pool was amazing, although a little chilly we still swam for between 40-60 mins each time. Yannick was even kind enough to do a load of washing for us. Nothing was too much to ask, it was a great place to spend 4 nights and if given the chance we'd love to come back in summer!

The location and aesthetic is amazing, Yannick was a great host. He was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable, gave restaurant recommendations within walking distance and booked for us. He also gave recommendations for site seeing. He was attentive and accomodating, checked in often and was always available to help. His English was perfect which made it even easier to discuss our plans with him as our French is limited. The breakfast was incredible, all locally sourced produce and fresh, plenty of variety for us and our 2yo. The pool was beautiful. There is a vineyard directly next door and plenty of food and wine nearby. We did scenic walks ever morning and there was plenty to see. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat and will recommend to others.

The location is perfect to explore the region’s many beautiful attractions. The hotel is unique with some rooms built into the hillside. We loved swimming in the pool in the cave, such a unique experience! The staff are wonderfully helpful, offering many suggestions on activities, recommendations about where to dine and made bookings on our behalf. The breakfast selection at the hotel itself is sumptuous, featuring many local delicacies. We had a simple dinner on-site a couple of times consisting of delicious terrines with crusty baguette for entree and hearty main courses prepared by a local producer. Our room had beautiful decor and was large and comfortable with every amenity to ensure our relaxation and privacy. We spent evenings having drinks on the delightful terrace, enjoying nature and the beautiful surroundings.

Clean and beautifully ambient rooms incorporated into pre-existing ancient caves. Yannicke a very hospitable host who showed us our room and the pool and was obviously very invested in this property. The cave pool was such a lovely novelty to make the stay even more special. In the morning a reasonably priced delicious buffet breakfast with many local/organic products which set us up for the morning!

Wonderful experience staying in cave accomodation. Downstairs was very large with sofa, chairs wardrobe and plenty of space to spread out. The bathroom also downstairs was big with a very large bath, authentic mosaics on the wall and definitely mood lighting. Lots of hot water and robes supplies with lovely fluffy towels. Upstairs another seating area with a door out to a terrace with country views and the bedroom which had a comfy bed and good pillows. Connecting the two floors was the staircase which was very authentic but could be a challenge for some. Breakfast served on the terrace was great, lots of choice and good quality. the host was English speaking and very helpful and had a good supply of brochures in English.

The spiral staircase though absolutely necessary is a challenge in the middle of the night. Not suitable for anyone with stair issues. Downstairs because of where and what is was had a musty smell at times but nothing you couldn't cope with

A swim in a cavern! Grapes from the house vine for breakfast! Bats flying about in the dusk above the terrace! And a comfortable modern hotel indoors. I note there was wheelchair access to my room. The cool location on the north side of a cliff would be a bonus in very hot weather.

The bike racks in the cave were of the sort that bends ones front wheel. But plenty of walls to lean the bike on instead.

Janic (owner) went out of his way to make our stay a wonderful experience - he booked restaurants for us, he booked vineyard trips for us and even got a beamer so that we could watch the Le Mans 24 hr race. Nothing we needed, including secure parking for classic cars, charging for an electric car etc was a problem - in fact I think we found a new friend! We were a party of 8 and had 4 rooms over 4 nights and we were so moved by his service and care, each couple gave him a 100 euro tip.

The stay was too short!

Rooms were very French, clean and comfortable. Nice view. Good breakfast. Parking but tight squeeze in VW camper through entrance! Booked us into a local restaurant Bistroglo which was nice as L’Hélianthe not open. Visit Domaine Filliatreau winery as great wines.

Swimming pool in cliffs amazing but could be improved with screen to cover equipment and screen/shower area cleaned & spruced up and foliage/plants. Should be no smoking near reception area as very strong in reception but then I’m an ex-smoker & can’t stand the smell.

Great location, great staff, very relaxing

Corner bath with shower attachment. Enclosed shower would have been better or at least a shower curtain and high level shower attachment but this was our only very small issue.

Very friendly welcome, informative and great dinner recommendation. great breakfast and lovely wine and rum on the terrace in the evening. quirky place to stay, highly recommend!

not much really, stupidly we let the kids have the big bed upstairs, so my wife and I were on the smaller bed down stairs. which did dip in the middle a bit
