Breakfast and evening meal very good.Only guests there as right at the end of season but still recieved great service.

Would have been nice to stay in the main house but as we have a dog we were in the Mini Gite.Free ranging dog not too friendly towards our dog made walking in the beautiful grounds restricted.

Wow what a wonderful stay we had (2 adults and a 13year old). The moment you drive up the driveway you are amazed with the chateau. Such a quiet and beautiful location. We were greeted by the owner and dogs and shown around the chateau and to our room. The room was clean and comfortable and had drinks facilities available. Our sleep was amazing. The grounds have animals and you can sit outside at various points to relax and enjoy the quiet. The communal rooms have so much to look at and an amazing fireplace. We had dinner at the chateau the menu was a set menu and we ate like kings thank you for such wonderful service and good value for money. We will definitely book again and recommend to others.

All amazing

Not too far from Chateau Chambord and the little town of Lamotte-Beuvron where the Tarte Tatin was invented. It's set off into the woodlands in a very peaceful area. We stayed just the one night as we were passing through to the Dordogne. The location is perfect for this purpose, and we got time to explore the palace. For the actual property itself, the owner is very welcoming and Breakfast was very filling. The house is a grand structure in itself with a huge garden where you will see cows, deer, chickens and all sorts off into the distance. Breakfast is served in a grand dining room that looks out across the estate which you imagine was once a hunting lodge for some very rich people :) Beautiful location and perfect for our needs.

We loved staying at Mont Suzey. The host was so warm, friendly, and helpful, and our room was fantastic: spacious, nicely furnished (such comfortable beds!), and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were delicious, with so many choices (croissants, baguettes. cheeses, yogurt, jams, granola, etc.). The house itself is beautiful, as is the property. My kids loved visiting the animals (cows, goats, ducks, geese, along with four pet dogs). We wish we could have stayed longer!

There was nothing I didn't like, but I would caution guests to be extra careful when getting directions to the property. We entered the information into GPS, and the app initially sent us to an entirely different location 20 minutes away. The property is a little hard to find, and Google maps seems to work better than Apple Maps.

Château du Mont Suzey offers a delightful stay steeped in French charm. This stately chateau, nestled amidst the picturesque Loire Valley countryside, provides a tranquil escape for weary travelers like us. Our room was a comfortable haven, tastefully decorated with nods to the chateau's heritage. The peaceful surroundings provided a welcome respite from the everyday hustle. A particular highlight was the breakfast. Freshly baked pastries, local delicacies, and a warm atmosphere set the perfect tone for the day ahead.

Convenient location, near Chambord and at one hour from Amboise. The chateau is surrounded by trees, the fresh air and birds songs helped me to sleep very well. The rooms are big, clean, with big window doors, modern bathrooms, some of them having big windows that allows natural light to enter. The minibar is stocked with beer and juices at very decent prices. Also cofee and tea can be made in the room Even if the chateau is very old the interior is restored nicely. The breakfast was tasty, every morning a fresh croissant was waiting for us, along with boild eggs, several types of cheeses, butter, pastry, orange juice, etc The chateau has a terrace, a huge garden, with animals (including alpaca) and sun chairs. We were able to bring our drinks and to consume it on the terrace in the evening. During our vacation on the Loire Valley we stayed in another two castles (more expensive) but Mount Suzey was the best of them.

Bugs coming from outside in the evening, lack of meat at breakfast

The chateau and grounds were stunning, the owner was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was overwhelming in its variety and abundance! I wish we could have stayed longer; it was so inspiring I feel like I could write a book here!

The only thing that would have improved our stay is a tour of the rest of the house! And it was disappointing that the ground was too wet for us to be able to say hello to the white rhea 😁

Located in this remote spot in the forest is this somewhat spooky chateau with full of character. The owner, despite being a bit discrete, was very welcoming. We only stayed one night on our way south but would definitely recommend staying for more as its really relaxing place.

Some people say it's a bit run down but I think it's well maintained and it's part of the charm of the place.

A beautiful chateau st in its old grounds. A dog friendly hotel and lovely location for a stroll. Dominic the owner is the chef he created a fabulous 4 course French meal with wine that was great value. Breakfast was sufficient. If you want to stay somewhere a little unusual then this is the place for you!

Beautiful exterior & interior, modern bathroom with lovely bedrooms some with balconies.

Thank you very much for the recommendation to visit Chateu Chambord first! We followed your suggestion and It was worth it. If we will in area again, no doubt we will come back here.
