Very happy with large room, ensuite bathroom is very good; great hot shower. Very good aircon. No toiletries are provided, merely towels & toilet roll. Worktop sized fridges are rentable (£4.60/day) as are safe boxes (located by reception). UK 3-pin plugs (2 of) in my room. Full sized snooker, pool and ping pong tables with TV in large lounge area to watch rugby (& football). Wifi accessible in my room (106) and on beach at 1.8Mbps; I was able to stream (UK TV, YouTube etc) from the beach. Useful and reasonably priced supermarkets 18-20mins walk away. ATM within 10mins walk along the beach (D200 charge). Almost all restaurants only accept cash. Provided entertainment brings guests together several times a day, especially in the evenings with live local bands/groups, 6 out of 7 nights. Unpretentious atmosphere around the pool and beach areas. Food around the pool & beach area is very good, more akin to 3*+. Expect to pay £7-£10 for a meal with drinks. Jet ski, quad bike and SUP hire available down the beach past Solomons. Bike hire 5mins walk back towards the main road (paid D500 for 24hrs). Mangroves out the front allow sunrise birdwatchers and yogis a true delight for the eyes, ears, body & mind. Hotel management are a true blessing to this complex and often available to receive comments and feedback, do not allow any troubles to fester, speak with the management and enjoy your stay.

Full-body massage wasn't great and slightly more expensive than local 4 and 5* hotels. Breakfast is passable, it is a 2* complex.

On the whole, breakfast was good. The staff were always cheerful and ready to help in any way. We were moved to another room when the air con broke down in our first room. The cleaning staff were eager to please, and the reception staff were great. The manager, Ray, was excellent and made sure we would always be welcome back

Initially, the room we had, the air con broke down

Breakfast is good, not much variaty but for African standars is very good( they have pancakes and fried omelettes). Personal at the hotel is great. I recommend for the price. Trust me it was my third time in The Gambia and done many hotels in Senegal also. It´s in front of the beach and the area is good.

Many old english people that just came to get laid with locals. Sometimes I felt like it was a retirement house. Of course this applies for every hotel in the Gambia, but just to notice. Sometimes Policeman at the entrance begging for bribes (I know it is not the responsability of the hotel, but Gambian people should improve this) but dont worry they are harmless, you just need to stay calm and say: BA RI NA (too much too much). Always salute with: Salam Aleikum as a sign of respect and say "Niata la" (How much?) when asking for prices

Loved the nightly entertainment Food from the restaurant was great Pool was good, staff friendly. Beachfront was great

Would of been nice to have more variety for TV channels They could of mentioned paying extra for a mini fridge, I didn't see the small sign off to the right behind the counter....I would of requested one.

The local staff from the waiters to the cleaners all lovely. The food was lovely The size off the place was great..

There is no safe in your room and nowhere accepts card payments only cash...the safes are beside reception and charge about 25 euro per week to use them. The laundry is crazy expensive and clothes came back smelling nice but still dirty

Loved the room location . Good beach ⛱️. Great night entertainment 👌. Clean rooms. Will definitely 💯 stay again Nice manager who was very approachable. Best value for money and very safety-and-security conscious Try it...you won't be disappointed.

I made a coffee at breakfast to take into reception to do paperwork. Male member of Staff wouldn't allow me out of dining room with cup...as if I'm going to steal a white cup 🤔...silly rule...just wanted to sit in reception where it didn't smell of oil from hot plate.

We liked the location and access to beach. Freshly made cooked breakfasts The staff were brilliant and very accommodating throughout our stay. Evening entertainment was excellent

Daily rental price for beach towels. Power outages although not only this hotel affected.

Well situated in Kotu almost on the beach. Rooms were of a good size and had A/C & beds were comfortable. Breakfast available from 7,00am which was important for us because we were out on bird watching tours each morning at 7,30. WiFi fast at bar / reception area

Payment in cash only was somewhat unusual, would have preferred to settle with card. The breakfast was adequate at best, not a great deal of choice. Hotel is slightly 'dated' - but represents fair value for money at this price point.

The hotel is in a prime location on Kotu Beach. The Gambia is a tropical paradise and Palm Beach Hotel is well placed within it. The beach is directly accessible within walking distance at the edge of the premises. Surrounded by lush giant palm trees cascading a beautiful canopy. There is fresh fruit available that is prepared on request and delivered directly to your sun lounge. There is also 24hr security patrols.

The restaurant is geared more to introducing its Gambian gourmet menu to those that have not experienced traditional Gambian foods. The flavours are milder and tasteful. You will be presently surprised by whats on offer. I recommend that you try the Gambian dishes. The restaurant is quite amicable. The bar has an happy hour with excellent cocktails
