We really liked the location and the rooms. Good WiFi. The food was excellent. Most of the staff were rally nice!

Some staff act unprofessional towards women (asking for going on a walk, phone number, etc.).

The place is amazing just in the beach,you can listen the ocean sound when you are in the bed and wake up with birds songs!! You can the ocean brise and the views are great! The Sunset in the beach even the storms with the beach, coconuts Palms... Is Magic. The rooms are a small Houses clean and confortables, the pool with the See views, the restaurant with diferentes dishes Gambiana and internacional, the big breakfast, the gardens with a lot of butterflies and flowes... But the best of Sunsetbeach is the people, they are a small family and everyone from the recepcion, waiters, security, gardeners, cleaners, chefs...All of them have always a Happy face and smile for you. And you fell you are part of their Happy family. Thank you. Abaraka bat!!!

Everyone looked after each other ….great hotel. Management made it very comfortable for us, the chef looked after all our culinary taste As half of our group are vegetarians.

It was very personal able , we all got on with fellow guest, Karaoke , entertainment every night , shows with drumming and dancing. County and western singer !!! Participant, lend !!! Great fun .. by all !!!! Position well you can take great walks along the beach and check out the other hotels !!!!

The staff here is wonderful. They are all very kind - the bar and restaurant, room housekeeping attendants (specifically Alex), Arrison the gardener, and front desk (Riquita). Everyone was very helpful and always asking how my day ways and making sure I was enjoying Gambia. The accomodations are great value. Very good breakfast, clean rooms and facilites, great location, and beautiful pool with beach views. The rooms are very spacious and pretty and the house keeping attendants do a great job cleaning every day. My room attendant, Alex, made beautiful flower designs each day and was very friendly and polite. If i was in the room working he was very mindful and did not disturb me. Wifi was not bad. About 10 Mbps by the pool but I wouldn't rely on it for seamless service. Video calls weren't always perfect but I had no issue getting an africell sim card and connecting my phone to my laptop for video calls. I was able ti work and there were many others working remotely from the hotel besides me. Conveniently located in a central part of Gambia and although the prices are a bit high the taxis and bicycles are right outside the hotel for convenience. At one point I did forget my watch on my pool chair and the pool attendant came to deliver it to me in my room, very kind.

Really lovely hotel overall especially the environment - from the well manicured lawns to the well kept lanes between bungalows. The restaurant and pool area are right by the beach and honestly makes it seem like a more expensive resort. Staff were the friendliest I have met in a long while. Though the rooms are a bit tired when it comes to things that don't matter as much like a slightly wonky tap or old looking door handle, I think that's probably the trade off for this place being so affordable really, so I can't complain. And the food at the restaurant was wonderful, breakfast had a variety of items though the same lineup everyday.

Only bad hotel experiences were really horrible glass of red wine and the from the wok noodles, don't get those. Also wifi is quite bad, not just not strong but would also drop off constantly. Have to go to reception to get any work done. Also, tiniest TV I have ever seen in a hotel, better to just not have one.

The location is great. Right on the beach and in a quieter part of Kotu. If you want the strip, that's around a 35 minute walk away or 5 min taxi. We didn't. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Lamine on the front desk was especially kind. After some initial issues, internet was also decent. The beer on the all inclusive was good and we were very surprised with how good some of the food was, especially fish. Room was comfy and bathroom was ok.

There is a lot of smoking happening - pretty much everywhere. It's hard to escape and pretty gross, whether at dinner, by your sun lounger or outside your room. It makes the hotel feel small and claustrophobic. Evening entertainment was out of touch and frankly mostly awful. There were very few cocktail choices and many were constantly 'not available'. There are precious little places to chill comfortably, no hammocks, day beds, lobby, just a pool side swathe of plastic sun loungers and the restaurant.

The hotel is in a good location and taxi availability to anywhere was within a few minutes. Staff were all friendly and went all out to make sure you had everything you needed . You felt safe within the hotel as security is all around each exit and even going out u felt safe. if you had a taxi , the driver would stay with you until he returned you back to the hotel

the pool could have been warmer as there is a hole in it and its being refilled continually with cold water and with the heat of the day and the coldness of the water , it was a shock to the body for anyone entering it but it was always kept clean and would be used more if it was just a tad warmer

staff was really friendly and helpful. They gave us tips to move around, what to avoid or where to eat. Hotel is pretty nice and breakfast is really good. It was nice to have. safety on all entrance, specially on the beach where some intense guys where harassing us. I was really happy they open the pool and bar for locals, specially during the weekend. We were just few tourist in December and having local people around was so far a cultural experience. 🤗

the rooms were really clean but need a bit more of attention from maintenance staff,specially furniture and bathroom.

I really enjoyed the friendly staff. The two ladies at the front desk are the best. Their helpful and courteous attitude are world class. The food was excellent. I enjoyed eating the fish every day. Can't wait to visit again. 😍

The WIFI CONNECTION IS NOT GOOD. IT IS BEST TO PURCHASE A SIM CARD FROM ONE OF THE LOCAL WIRELESS PROVIDERS.
