The location is the best you can imagine, practically at the entrance to the forest and the national park. The rangers' stop is just meters away. The place is kid-friendly, the territory is a bit on the side from the parking, so you are not afraid that your toddler may be hit by a car. There are two pools, one for little kids and one for adults, although the big one can also be accessed by children, as they have nice slowly descending stairs. The staff was also super helpful. All the issues were resolved in a timely manner. The breakfast buffet was excellent the second time I visited in late July, but during the first visit (early July) it could have been better, as the food was often cold.
The room had minor issues, which were fixed after asking. The service quality is not excellent, but that is compensated by the friendliness of the people. The menu in the restaurant could have more variety, my little son did not eat much there.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel exactly one year ago and decided to return. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a unique feature that's rare to find in Georgia—a well-maintained Russian banya (sauna). We went on a full-day hiking tour through autumn forests and hills to reach the waterfall. It was an excellent experience.

Wald Hotel is situated in the heart of marvelous Lagodekhi Natural Reservation and surrounding is very well treated as well. We chose this hotel because of its location but were satisfied with facilities and staff as well. Highly recommend.

We booked 2 rooms in the cheaper building but got an upgrade to the new building without extra charge. Very comfortable rooms, extremely friendly personnel, nice pool and good restaurant. Excellent starting point for several hikes in Lagodekhi NP.

Amazing location and great staff, we were there for hiking so it was the perfect choice for location being at the entrance of Lagodekhi reserve! The staff was also super helpful and doing their best to make our stay comfortable.
