Hotel Sonnenhof is perfectly placed to explore Boppard and the Rhine, being only a two minute walk from the river. Michael and his wife (and Buddy the dog) are excellent hosts who made us feel extremely welcome, as well as giving us all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. My dog Harry enjoyed lots of extra treats as well! Would definitely recommend.

Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. The hotel is ideally situated only a few metres away from the town centre, shops, restaurants and the riverside. The hosts (and Buddy, the dog) are delightful people.

The only thing lacking was a lift - although the property would hardly have room for one. I speak as an 82 year old who doesn't yet have trouble with a lot of stairs and carrying suitcases. It wouldn't stop me making a return visit.

We had just one night in this hotel but it was enough to give 5 stars. I would like to thank you Keratin for her kind and marvellous customer services. Just one more thing the breakfast was delicious. I really would recommend it. Many thanks.

The owners were so kind and comfortable. they made us feel like it was home even though it was their house. any thing we asked for was given to us with a smile. the food was absolutely marvelous. All homemade and very delicious!!

It might be a little noisy at night with the train going by but once you get used to that everything’s OK

The staff is clearly the strongest point in this hotel, the couple that owns it is very friendly, always available to help and very thoughtful for every need you can have. Location is also very good if a view of the Rhein is not mandatory for you, directly in city center, close to train station and with car parking also close by. The room was not so big but, for a single person is more than enough, bed was confortable, good matress. In general a great option!

The building is historical so it has limitations, to me the one that deserves mentioning is the narrow stairs, not easy to go up or down with a heavy bag, yet, it's a small price to pay considering the positive points the hotel has. Another not so good point is that the hotel is close to the train tracks meaning that there is some noise during the night but the owners, always caring that the customers have the best stay possible, leave ear plugs in the room for the ones with lighter sleep.

The owner was most welcoming and enthusiastic. Breakfast was very good and the owner was most helpful. I had a very good evening meal in convivial company on the night I arrived. A free public transport ticket was very useful. Despite the nearby road and railway line the room was quiet.

Breakfast started at 08:00 each day - I would have taken breakfast at 07:30 if it was available but this was only a minor issue.

Location is perfect, owners are great, very friendly. Spacious and very clean rooms and very good breakfast included.

Good quality of breakfast. In the Center of city. not far away from the train station. Peoples are kind and I have great day here ^^ good view from the window
