Room was big and clean, location great, opposite central train station

It was quite expensive, £300 for 2 nights.

Lovely clean spacious room with comfortable beds albeit with square pillows - they were comfortable nonetheless. We liked the old school windows you could open right up. The bathroom was nice and spacious too with everything we needed. We didn't partake in the breakfast because I was aware of all the lovely bakeries in the nearby Hauptbahnhof which were definitely cheaper and actually more convenient for us (pick up and go!). Take this as a 9.5.

The radiator didn't seem to heat up a lot. It may just be with the time of year, it wasn't *too* cold outside yet

The situation is excellent for rail travellers since the hotel faces the station across the Square. It is close to the Tourist Information Office from which hop-on, hop-off busses run. I had a superbly comfortable suite for a very reasonable price. The dinner menu was good and the food well cooked and tasty. I really appreciated the ice cream choices. In general, a first rate old style hotel.

At breakfast, I could only find hard-boiled eggs. Had I asked, I probably would have been given soft. The staff were very helpful, so this complaint turns into a compliment!

This was an exceptional stay that exceeded my expectations and it was walking distance to Hannover main train station and the Christmas Markets was right in front of hotel and train station. Perfect location to walk from a long train ride to relaxing convinient hotel. The included dinner was fabulous and I did not expect that. The breakfast I missed due to overslept because of comfortable beds and late night out at Christmas markets.

It was perfect stay for my Christmas 2024 European vacation!

As the hotel presents itself, its very historical and nice located accommodation place. Quite remarkable design of the rooms. It seems a bit over-dated, which was our common issue, but they are trying to provide as best service as they can. Wish to come back after they will be refurbished, especially rooms and furniture there. Breakfast was above expectation. But the best thing was the restaurant, where we had have very nice german cuisine style dinner, needed to point out by very reasonable prices.

As a good sleep at night is a priority to wake up in a good mood, would be great if bed linen and pillows would match such a criteria.

Hotel Kaiserhof is just opposite Hannover central station. There are plenty of shops and food places in an underground passageway to the station. There was a slight problem with our first night's stay and for that the hotel upgraded us to a larger room. Drinks in the mini-bar were free during our entire stay. The staff at the reception (Matteo and Francesca) were friendly at all times and always willing to help. We were in Hannover for the Christmas markets and there was one in the Bahnhofplatz. The walk to the Old Town Christmas markets was about 10 minutes.

Very good mattress, 2 good pillows, comfortable real single room in the perfect size, bright and super quiet, perfect location opposite the main train station, super friendly staff (in all areas, both reception and room service), night check-in no problem, kettle, coffee, minibar in the room, super clean. Charming, stylish retro design of the rooms and hallways. The hotel has been a family business for decades and is run with commitment and love.

Very little. There was only one lift but although we were on a high floor it wasn't a problem for us.

The hotel is perfectly located on the central railway station square and close to everything in the city center. For car travellers there are a couple of public parkings nearby (5 min walk, 18 E/day) and also the possibility to stop right in front of the hotel for a short while to un/load luggage. The rooms are comfortable and of enough space, while the minibar fridge at no extra charge was certainly a pleasant surprise and was really appreciated. Windows allow for different ventilation options, which was really good for a mild summer period. Overall a place to recommend.

Central location near to the railway station has its pros and cons, especially when near also to the police station - street noise and police cars are to be heard often, incl. during nights. Nothing to do about it in rooms facing the station square. Some of the furniture in the room had certainly seen better times, but it is understood that renovations cannot be done each couple of years. Definitely no major issues to complain of.

Central-Hotel Kaiserhof survived WW2 and is a well preserved and updated classic hotel but it does not have A/C, just a fan provided in rooms so keep in mind during hot summer months.
