It is such a great concept - to give (single) visitors a clean place to sleep near the train station at such an affordable price. The bathrooms are plenty and all clean, the room is just what one needs- much better than a capsule, the location is perfect- by the river and a train station. Wi-Fi worked great. Fortunately, I didn’t have too many issues with noise from neighbors, but I can see how it could happen. The window had a burnet, so no mosquitos, but a nice river‘s murmur. I wish such kind of hotel were in every big city.

I wish there would be more hotels like this one - I was travelling by bicycle along the Danube and spent one night in Passau. First of all the hotel location is very convenient: close to the city-center, very close to the main train station and yet in a quiet area with view on the Danube. When arriving by bicycle in Passau I found the hotel by accident before even I started to actually look for it, since it is directly on the way for bicycles (Donauradweg). The site staff was very friendly and there is a secured garage for bikes that you can access anytime with a code and with a button to call the reception. I had a single room with everything that I needed. Of course the rooms are very small but that is part of the concept of this hotel: ideal for people spending 1-2 nights in Passau when travelling on foot, by bicycle or with another small vehicle. The prices in this hotel are low and probably among the cheapest ones of the city. The shared bathrooms/toilets were very clean. Maybe I was lucky and the hotel was not full (although I was there on a sunny saturday night), it is probably a bit more complicated when the hotel is full, therefore potentially noisy and with difficulties to find free bathrooms. But on that night it was not the case, I had a very nice sleep and there were plenty of available bathrooms anytime I needed one. As I was tired and like to sleep in total silence I slept with earplugs - but the night was probably very silent anyway. If I travel again by bicycle to Passau I would definitely book there again. Thanks to the staff!

Difficult to find negative aspects. This is of course this kind of hotel where you go to when you wish to save some money. If you wish to spent a fancy weekend in Passau with a lot of comfort, you may prefer booking a more expensive hotel. Otherwise this hotel is the place to go - cheap and yet very central with friendly staff.

Ubicación perfecta para ir con bicicleta, justo en el camino para bicis al lado del Danubio. Perfect location to go with bikes as it is right next to the Danube's bike path. Comfortable single room for short stays in which people are mainly out but need some solo time in the room. Bathroom super close to the room so it is comfortable. Open air terrace next to the Danube is just perfect!! And breakfast/common room also convenient and calm to work remotely from there with views to de Danube.

Room could have better hangers or clothes racks. They have only small racks but big items like towels cannot really be hanged because they fall down.

Rotel Inn was exactly as described on your website and perfectly answered my need for a place to break my journey before an early morning start. I travelled solo. The location is beautiful, my room looked out onto the Danube. It’s a five minute walk from the railway station and a slightly longer walk (about 15 minutes) along the riverside bicycle path to the town centre. The room was very comfortable indeed for one small and fairly agile person (you have to clamber onto the bed), good bed, opening window with insect screen (no insects in sight on this occasion), spotless toilets and shower opposite. Reception staff was very helpful, atmosphere is welcoming. I would be happy to use Rotel Inn whenever I visit Passau, one of my favourite cities.

Nothing at all. I didn’t try the breakfast. It’s made perfectly clear on the booking form that the bed takes up more than half of the room space from wall to wall, this was no problem for me - indeed, having just spent a few nights in a tent I found it positively luxurious! - but two people might struggle, not so much with the bed itself but with the lack of space to manoeuvre in the rest of the room. Especially if they are tall and well built. But, as I say, the photos are very honest.

The room size is small and basic. The place is clean, the staff is great, location perfect. Place to hold bike for overnight. For the price and location and being clean it was great. Big area for sitting to eat or drink.

Room is small but sufficient for what needs are. A person is not in room much when travel.

This hotel is located right by the river and is fairly close to the train station. The staff is very friendly, and the communal bathroom is quite large.

Despite its central location, it can be a bit hard to find; I once accidentally walked onto the highway. Additionally, the power outlets are not near the bed, which makes charging devices somewhat inconvenient.

The rooms are exactly as advertised: small and very clean. The staff works hard to keep it that way. The reception is open 24/7 and the staff are very nice, very hard-working people.

I public water kettle would be a nice amenity, especially for the bike riders who probably carry an immersion water heater, an item that they forbid the use of. I know people in Bavaria drink beer, but some consideration should be given to tea drinkers who would like to observe the hotel policies while satisfying their need to enjoy a healthy beverage.

Exactly what was advertised and what I was looking for. Simple accommodation for an overnight stay. Excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and I felt safe as a solo traveller. There were plenty of shared bathroom facilities just across the corridor from the bedrooms - I never had to wait.

Near to the Danube, very nice view, close to the city center and railway station, nice and big dining room, a lot of toilets and showers. Good value for money.

The capsules are almost eligible, but not too comfortable for two person. One person per room is ideal. For one night, it is OK.

As were about to start the Eurovelo 6 Trail, it was ideal for us to be right on the river, and on the path. While compact, the rooms are comfortable, the restrooms are clean, and the staff is very helpful. It was also great to have all the information pamphlets in the lobby for the cyclists.

It would be nice for there to be a plug closer to the bed; the room only had one, so we weren't able to properly charge all our devices. However, the room itself was fine, I'm just being a bit picky about it.
