Lovely Hotel in the centre of town. Upon arrival there was a band playing on the balcony and the whole town was watching. Quite the wonderful surprise. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Always appreciate a (glass) bottle of water upon arrival. Breakfast was very elaborate and they even offer coffee to go. The amazingly impressive Rastatt castle (fashioned after Versailles) is only a few minutes walk away and unfortunately closed on Sundays as we would definitely have liked to visit. There are loads of nice restaurants in beautiful small streets opposite the front entrance of the Castle.

The lady at the front desk was lovely and welcoming when we arrived. The lady at the front desk when we left rather the opposite. Not even a "how was your stay" or any other show of interest. It is amazing how much a difference that makes.

Young man at reception desk was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Easy bicycle access from trail . Excellent inside room for storing bicycles. Elevator to get us and bike trailers to upper rooms . Room very clean with many windows for light and ventilation . Cute little balcony over the street below . Nice clean bathroom with toiletries . Close to a number of nice restaurant choices , one of which we had dinner named Pinocchio, and about 200m. walk to the large central walking plaza .

No electrical receptacles near the bed but there were extension cords in the room to allow for using electric devices on bed stands .

The hotel has a great central, in town, location. The building is beautiful traditional architecture. There's plenty of parking & you can drop off right outside the entrance. The staff are super friendly, helpful 7 make you feel very welcome. The rooms are clean, BIG & the beads are superbly comfortable. The breakfast is out of this world & by the far the best hotel breakfast we've experienced. Honestly, it's worth it just for the breakfast. Finally, the hotel is very dog friendly & us travelling with our 4legged friend was no problem. We'll 100% be retuning.

The location of the hotel is perfect. We appreciated the free parking behind the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice. We really enjoyed our stay in Rastatt.

We would have appreciated the AC as it was rather hot in Rastatt during our stay. The room had a fan but it didn't help much. Luckily, the nights were cooler.

This hotel is excellently situated in the centre of Rastatt with easy access to bars, restaurants, banks etc. Room was a little dated but very clean and comfortable and the staff were all excellent. Breakfast was superb, being a buffet style German breakfast, it catered for all with a wide variety of choice. All was fresh and very well presented. Overall, I would truly recommend Hotel Schwert

Parking is available but a little awkward to find but that is a very minor point.

The hotel was perfectly located in the centre of Rastatt, just a few minutes walk from the Schloss, which we wanted to visit and was the main reason for our stay. The hotel had a small free car park located just behind the property. The receptionist who checked us in was friendly and efficient despite being very busy. The room was comfortable. When we stayed the temperature didn't drop much below 30 degrees. The windows could be fully opened in the room, and despite being located in the middle of the town, there was little noise from outside. There was also a good fan in the room, which helped control the temperature. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. A mini fridge and a kettle were provided. Breakfast, which was included in our (reasonable) price was excellent. Great choice ranging from fresh fruit to cooked breakfast and everything inbetween. We found a good restaurant just 4 minutes walk from the hotel - Lehners Wirtshaus, good German food and beer, with a large terrace bordering the Schloss garden. We also visited the Residenzschloss Rastatt - it looks impressive from the outside, but is surprisingly beautiful on the inside. We had a guided tour at 10 am and we were the only customers. Well worth a visit!

there was a connecting door in the room - obviously important for some guests. The size/position of the bed made it difficult to get around without banging your shin on a very nasty corner! The bathroom had a bath/shower combi, great for people who like baths, but a shower (minus shower curtain!) would be more convenient and better for the environment. Forgot to mention...not many electric sockets in the room. Ours were used up by tv, mini fridge and fan.

BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT , SO MUCH CHOICE AND ALL FRESH. FRESH COFFEE AND A COFFEE MACHINE IF YOU WANTED A CAPPUCINO OR LATTE, HOT WATER MACHINE FOR TEA ASWELL . THE LOCATIONS IS PERFECT AS YOU HAVE SO MYCH CHOICE WITH RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS

ALL BEEN GOOD JUST A LITTLE WARM BUT NOT THE HOTELS FAULT :)

Very good breakfast, variety of food choices was sufficient and it was served from 6:30 which was perfect for us as we needed to leave early. The room was big enough and had nice bed. Location was in a city center but still closed to highway so very convenient for travelers.

This hotel is a gem. Not only is it in a fantastic location, the rooms are big with a big bed, the breakfast is exceptional, the staff is friendly and as a dog owner we appreciated that our dog was allowed to be in the breakfast room with us.

There is nothing not to like about the Hotel Schwert!

The breakfast was one of the best I have had. So much choice, well presented and all of the food was fresh. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the beds were clean and comfortable. We even had our own little balcony

The only thing that would improve the hotel is some air conditioning for those hot summer nights.
