The place was quite ok. The parking was available at the location but since it was public parking it was paid according to the city rules. The place was clean and quite acceptable for 1 or 2 night stay.
Even though we were asked to call the intercom upon arriving late at night, it took us more than 20 minutes constantly ringing for someone to pick up. The door intercom seems to only make a phone call to the number present on booking so if one does not work, the other also wont work. One of the fridges were not working. The rooms had a very intense smell of carpet as if the rooms were closed for weeks. We had to open the windows for a couple of hours upon arriving.

Very kind and helpful personnel. Very good breakfast. Room was very small, bathroom was big and comfortable. Everything was clean, although the carpet in the room needs replacement. Hotel is located in the nice, quiet town Ratingen, within 10 min walk you can reach train/bus station to go to Dusseldorf airport or Dusseldorf city.
Reception desk is open only in the morning. In the afternoon you are checked in by calling the reception and receiving your key from the box at the front door. Everything went smooth, but it wasn't clearly indicated in the description at booking.com.

the staff helped a lot and the location has many transportation option to town
the shower room design can be improved. the door is not fully closed therefore the water will leak to outside.
