The location next to the castle is of course fantastic but what i pressed me the most was the lady (Sandra?) at check-in: she knew i was arriving at 10 pm, after an intercontinental flight with a delay from Disseldorf airport so she just took me to my room saying “you must be very jet-lagged so don’t worry about the check-in: we’ll leave the paperwork till tomorrow morning. Have a good night, Sir” This was the smoothest and most perfect check-in I ever experienced, still grateful about her understanding of a traveler’s needs! And also a great breakfast on the terrace with excellent service 👍

*The personnel was quite friendly and ready to help *We received a free upgrade to the historical attic rooms *The rooms had a lot of facilities (bath, tea maker...) with some nice extra's (bottles of water, tea bags, hygienic products) *The restaurant where the evening meal was served, was very beautiful and the food was good *The breakfast was exquisite *Free parking *Located in a beautiful castle

*The bed pillows were a bit dusty *Some parts of the room were a bit older (e.g. bathroom, tv)

Professional run hotel. Staff is outstanding and very helpful.

The hotel restaurant and bar service is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays! Not very attractive for staying there during those days. Rooms on top floor are attic loft style and not fit for elderly people. There are very steep stairs in the room to reach the loft! On top ventilation is absolutely a disaster and a severe heat builds up in the loft.

Everything. Not the 1st time here, so we knew what to expect. Superb all-around facilities and staff. Unfortunately, I was taken ill during my stay and had to cancel our second night. The reaction and subsequent action, by the manager, to my circumstances, could not have been bettered. He is superb employee and I add my personal thanks for all that he did for my wife and I. See you next year.

Breakfast was great, everything was available, enjoyable and tasty.

Room locations not clear, if coming in through night door (No reception after 5pm) maybe a map to show NEW visitors where their room is located within the complex?

Characterful property run by very friendly staff.. We had a very tasty supper in the hotel sat on the veranda in the evening sun which was very romantic. Also had a great breakfast. Given a lovely pot of local honey on departure.. Many thanks for a memorable stay.

This is a lovely family-run hotel that really looks after you during your stay. It is an older hotel (some of it is within the old castle building) and is very comfortable with great views. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

I liked everything. The rooms are not that big, but good value for money!

Beautiful place sitting on top of a hill but easy to walk to the town which is very pretty. The staff are lovely and so helpful, and great breakfast buffet.
