Plaka Arch Suites was exactly what we needed for the 48 hours we were in Athens. Keep in mind, Athens is MASSIVE, approximately 6 million people in population. There’s no point looking for a cheap property outside of the Plaka if it’s on your agenda to see the acropolis. You are surrounded with endless cafes, desert shops, and restaurants. From fast food to fine dining… it’s endless in options! Our room was quite large, as well as the bathroom… as advertised, all the helpful day to day amenities. The balcony was a super cute added touch. The breakfast had many things to choose from, a great start for your day that you could even skip lunch from the good breakfast provided. Fanis is very helpful who helped arrange the airport taxi round trip! He also checked in on us every time he saw us… providing new history and a story about the building, and recommendations in the area. Thank you team at Plaka Arch Suites!!

Feedback… I don’t travel light, so I like when a room has many storage options. Just a suggestion to the property to use the extra empty space in the room to include a small sofa and another vanity with drawers. We booked with Booking.com and fit this property, Booking.com displayed all the room pictures of all the rooms at the property in each room selection. So it was not easy to distinguish which room you are getting. It was assumed the rooftop terrace and hot tub was a shared space in the roof. Turned out it is a private suite, which we wish we knew because we would have tried to book that for our dates.

the location was perfect with close proximity to the Acropolis & Museum, shops, restaurants, and other important sites we wanted to visit. Loved the breakfast room, it was warm and encouraged conversation with other guests and the breakfast buffet was not lacking anything.

Honestly nothing but I will say, when you arrive it seems like the area could be a bit sketchy. It's NOT! Never felt concerned for safety and was comfortable walking home at night.

Location was perfect and within 15 minutes walk from most attractions. The area was amazing. The Acropolis was less than five minutes walk. Staff extremely attentive and we were facilitated with an extremely early check in. This made our first day as we had travelled on an overnight flight and meant we could rest before setting out on our first day of sightseeing. Property and room were spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly can’t think of anything apart from maybe having more specific details around checking in as there is no reception desk however we did have a smooth check in. We went to where breakfast is served and rang the service buzzer and a lovely lady appeared to show us to our room.

The buffet style breakfast that offered made-to-order items such as French toast and Greek omelettes was as close to a 5-star hotel breakfast as you can get without table cloths and caviar. The staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. They are fully invested in their guest’s comfort. The room included bathrobe, slippers, all toiletries, a complimentary bottle of wine, A/C, free bottled water, sleep mask and ear plugs. There is no better location: less than a 10 minute walk to Acropolis, Parliament, Hadrian’s Arch, Temple of Zeus, Olympic Stadium, Monastiriki square. Only a 3 min walk to Acropolis Metro station.

There is no lobby per se so staff is not visible when you come and go (but their personal cell phones are listed on the door and you can call anytime). I was happy a staff member was waiting out front upon my arrival and flagged me down, otherwise I may have walked right past the building. The building is a bit dated but all the facilities work well and they have made the most of the space. I never found the roof top area.

The best part of Plaka Arch Suites is Thanos, our host, who was a real star. He made everything so easy and gave us a stellar service. I would give him a 9.8/10. The hotel location is also 9.8, right in the Pkaka. I would give the hotel itself an 8.7 just because our door would get stuck sometimes, it could get a bit noisy in the Plaka and the mattress was a bit too soft for my taste. But you also get free nespresso oods in the room and a genrous amount of toiletries. The breakfast gets an 8, it is good with fresh fruit and eggs and some good pastries and cheese and bacon.

The coffee at breakfast was mediocre, often almost cold. The mattress was a bit soft for me. For some people, the noise on the street could be a problem. I can sleep through almost anything.

The room was great, good size and very good bathroom with nice little extras. The breakfast was very disappointing as the breakfast area is an outside terrace and in November the mornings are a little chilly and the heaters were switched off. The buffet itself was a little sad with the few warm dishes looking like they had been on display a while and the cold items were not very high quality. We ended up going out for breakfast throughout our stay. A shame as the breakfast was advertised as 'great'

The Hotel is located perfectly right in the middle of the Plaka area. They provided breakfasts which are excellent. You had the option of a hot breakfast if you wanted but there are so many other things it's hard to decide. Try the omelettes - absolutely delicious. The rooms are large, spotless, and very well appointed with very comfortable beds and pillows. The Manager was delightful and so helpful. There is even an ice-cream shop at the bottom of the building.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like except going home!

This is our 2nd stay wonderful location ! great staff, extremely helpful and kind. specious room with great balcony over looking the street, lovely to sit with a glass of wine, nice breakfast, stuff was extremely helpful when my plans changed and I needed to stay extra 2 days. They were booked and were only able to accommodate us with an extra day , but , they looked around and found a place for us around the corner for the extra night. That was a great help ! I will definitely book this place again we would like to thank the mangers and staff

Location excellent, literally at the bottom of the acropolis. Very handy for Acropolis, Acropolis museum, Agora, Hadrians Arch, etc. Bus stop at the end of the road for hop on hop off bus. Staff very friendly & helpful - had an issue with billing which they very effectively sorted for us. Plenty bars, shops &restaurants within a 1 min walk Staff at check-in recommended Saita family restaurant on arrival which we ended using twice in 3 days -very reasonable price for delicious home cooked food & wine......... great to be able to sit outside and eat at 10pm at the end of February! Earplugs, eyemasks, toiletries incl shaving kit &toothbrushes were provided Continental selection at breakfast was just okay but the bacon & eggs & definitely the French toast - yummy!

Didn't sleep very well. Could be very noisy in the room, could hear the conversation of another guest on her phone until @ 1.30am😣 Traffic noise due to single glazing (? Due to age of building) as our room sat on a corner of a busy junction and there was a parking area for scooters underneath our balcony - was glad earplugs were provided but weren't very effective

Everything was pretty great here. The reviews didn’t lie! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. They provided all the amenities such as free coffee,water, tea, hygiene kit, dental kit, robe, slippers and even a sleeping mask! The room was clean and the furniture looked updated. The location was excellent, near to all the touristy locations such as the Plaka neighbourhood and the Acropolis museum. The breakfast was delicious, with customizable eggs and really yummy traditional Greek pastries and sweets. Would 10/10 recommend this.

There wasn’t a hairdryer or an iron in the room, not sure if this was included or not but I didn’t ask as it wasn’t needed.
