The spacious room and shower. The delicious food. The Helpful staff. The modern facilities.

Acropolis view is not a view. We could see half of it. The bread was kind of expensive in the restaurant. The fact that we had to choose three ingredients for our bread/toast in the breakfast menu and the butter was considered as an ingredient.

The Gem Society Boutique Hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were impeccably clean, modern, and spacious, providing a very comfortable stay. The location is excellent, conveniently situated near all the key attractions and great restaurants, making it perfect for exploring Athens. I would highly recommend this hotel for its quality and prime location.

What I didn’t like was that there was no window facing the outside of the building, making it difficult to understand the weather or see what it’s like outside. The windows face the lightwell, which I must admit is nicely decorated, but it doesn’t quite make up for the lack of an external view.

Breakfast was excellent Alla Cart with lots of options you hardly need to eat lunch after such a feast. very pleasant and professional stuff. one day we went early on a cruise and they packed breakfast boxes for us. Very nice. the front office was very helpful with anything we asked for and the location was smack in the center of everything. Free coffee and 2 bottles of water every day in the room.

The room was classified as Deluxe standard but was small. You can deal with it however we stayed 5 nights and there were no drawers or closets to put our stuff in. We stayed packed in suitcases the entire stay There was NO MIRROR in the room only a short one in the bathroom. The shower had nice pressure but the open glass door was uncomfortable because all the space gets sprayed with water. We asked to change rooms and pay for an upgrade but the hotel was full.

This little hotel really is a gem. Perfect location within Athens’ “golden triangle” with almost all the main attractions easily walkable. The hotel is both stylish & comfortable with real luxury touches in the rooms. Little extras really count like the Nespresso machine in the room (pods replaced daily) and free bottles of water in the fridge. Daily room service is to a very high standard. All the staff were delightful & very friendly - both those on reception and those in the restaurant. Once you have mastered the breakfast algorithm you will find lots of variety and masses of food all cooked to order to set you up for the day. This is a fabulous hotel!

Absolutely nothing!

Clean, modern, receptionist and staff very pleasant and helpful, excellent customer service, nothing was any problem. Good local knowledge. Fabulous breakfast choice, definitely didn’t need lunch, freshly cooked options and ingredients.

Some late night music on one evening from a bar next door which may disturb you depending on bedroom location but this could have been because we were there on a carnival weekend. Didn’t disturb as having a good nights sleep. Off season restaurant not open in evening but plenty of restaurants around and receptionist recommended an excellent eatery 5 mins away.

Perfect location, we were able to walk everywhere. It was just a 5-10 min walk to the historical district of Plaka and all the sites. Lovely cafes, restuaurants and bars just a street away. The hotel was superb, our room (we had the Junior Suite) was spacious, modern and spotless - I am a clean freak and so this was very important to me. The shower was one of the best we have ever had. The bed was a large king size, super comfortable with high quality linen.

It is a small thing, but when we arrived (very late at night) we were not greeted warmly and also the chap behind the desk did not help us with the doors and he could see we were struggling with our luggage to get into the hotel. The day time reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff was fantastic; they were accommodating and friendly. The room is very spacious and well equipped. If you think you will be staying in the room most of your stay and not exploring much of Athens, I would recommend selecting a room with a view of the street to have natural light(i saw a comment complaining about the lack of light) for me it was not a problem. I like the design of the room. The breakfast was delicious. I would book in this hotel again during another visit to Athens.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to the Acropolis, Plaka, Syntagma Square and many other sites within 15-20 minutes. The staff handled all our requests-private car and guide, airport transfer, dinner reservations, etc.. A special recognition to Efi who helped me pre-arrange our tour and answered all my questions. The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable. The room was large, especially for a European hotel. Our bed and pillows felt amazing after long days exploring! The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced-we only had breakfast there but it was delicious. We highly recommend The Gem Society. You will not be disappointed and will love it!!

Nothing!

The staff's friendliness exceeded my expectations. They were friendly but not intrusive, and they created a good atmosphere from the moment I arrived at the hotel. They offered support and valuable suggestions that made my trip much more pleasant (the word to the management - please keep investing in your employees). The room was nicely furnished and, most importantly, clean. Breakfast was delicious, and although there were not many options, they were all really good. And if you order a beer at their bar, they will serve it in a cooled glass, which is a nice touch.

The only negative aspect for me was that the window faced the internal staircase, which was not evident from the booking description; however, it was explained on the official side of the hotel. Nevertheless, the staircase was beautifully decorated with lights and greenery, which was nice.
