Wonderful localisation. Beautiful beach with a great view. We once went to a Voulisma beach (reportedly one of the most beautiful on the island), which was crowded, no changing stations and loud, and we stayed there for 10 minutes tops and decided to go back to "our" Candia beach to have a nice swim without being worried that our stuff would be stolen. We booked a superior family apartment and for 3 people it was really spacious and comfortable. Maybe a bit outdated, but at the bathroom was renovated. The terrace was big enough to play ball with my daughter or do yoga in the morning. The staff was mannerly and helpful.

Two things - uncomfortable bed with hard pillows; and 2nd - the hotel has no policy regarding 'booking' sunbeds with a towels on the beach. Each time we got there, there were many sunbeds 'booked' this way and we ended up leaving our stuff on one of those risking a fight with someone else, as there was no sunbeds available; once I got to the beach at about 2 pm - since it was lunch time there were perhaps 10 people there and yet no available sunbeds! I finally found one in the full sun. That was very annoying.

Candia Park Village is a perfect hotel to stay with young kids. The bedroom was comfortable; the living room was spacious - a kitchenette and an extendable sleeper couch for the kid(s) are super convenient. Very quiet. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. In addition to the main pool, there are two pools for young children - one really shallow one for toddlers and another with an incline from 0.8m to 1.7m. The sandy beach has sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. Overall, the hotel territory is not super extensive, but has everything in close proximity. Highly recommend.

We loved this resort, really welcoming and a family atmosphere. The staff were amazing; always helpful and courteous. The facilities are great, it’s a busy resort but never feels crowded and loads of sun loungers in all areas so no scramble to put towels down. We enjoyed the pools, sandy beach and rocky beach . We also took advantage of the yoga on the beach, tennis lessons and the gym. The pool bar was great for snacks and drinks. My daughter is gluten free and she gave the GF club sandwich 10/10. Also GF cereals and bread available at breakfast. We went to Agios Nikolaos in the evenings for dinner, lots of good restaurants and around 12 euros in a cab. Would highly recommend CPV for a chilled out stay in an amazing setting.

Candia Park Village looks like a real comfortable and super authentic village. It’s fantastic for couples with children. There are several pools for families, especially we liked the private beach. It’s made of several layers and there are pines around it. So after 2 p.m you don’t actually feel heat and it’s comfortable for children. We liked the kids’ club. There were different activities there, especially atmospheric were the movie nights near the pool with popcorn. One could find a restaurant, buffet and pool bar on the territory. The variety of fish impresses. All food was fresh and the menu was versatile. The room was cleaned each day and the personnel was very amiable.

Everything was good.

Candia Park Village had everything you need for a relaxing family vacation. The pools were awesome, with one shallow pool for little kids and another deeper pool for older kids and adults. There was also a baby/toddler pool. The pools were all right next to one another which was nice. There are plenty of food options from buffet to table service to pool snacks. There was even an ice cream parlor onsite. The beach area wasn't very large, but the beautiful, calm, crystal clear water was amazing. It was also great for snorkeling. There was also live entertainment nightly geared towards kids which was fun. Our room was very comfortable for our family of 5. The bathroom looked to be newly renovated and was spacious.

The distance into Agios Nicolas was a little far. We knew that beforehand based on other reviews. It would have been nice to be walkable to Agios Nicolas.

Cliff "beach". It looked as boutique hotel. Hotel for families Quite good drinks in pool bar Amazingly friendly staff Serenity Rooms are very nice. Still keep in mind they are highest quality of the hotel. Rest of the hotel is nice but not as nice as those rooms. Keep in mind there is small path in front of them and they have 2 levels (ground level have good shadow thanks to a terrace but people above you). In general highly recommended especially with family. Taxi (10-20Eur to nearby villages) always quite new Mercedes.

Quite crowded main beach. And people tend to "book" sunbeeds with towels Food is good but nothing extraordinary. Rooms are very clean in general but hotel is not doing advanced cleaning even when you stay for more than 1 week so with kids it would be great to have at least once more advanced cleaning.

Nicely built resort with lots of beautiful flowering plants everywhere. Good apartments with terrace, nice pools and seaside access. Great breakfast, pleasant staff. Friendly people in the kids day care. The lady operating the pool bar ‘Plori’ in the evenings deserves a special mention. She truly tries to connect with people and make guests feel recognized and appreciated. And she makes good cocktails!

The buffet dinner is not great quality. The exception was “Cretan Night” which was better but also much more expensive. The rest of the food options throughout the resort are expensive, from the ice cream shop to the pizza at the pool bar. Speaking about that pizza, there was excessive gooey (surrogate?) cheese on it. Very different from the great pizza we had in the Kafenion which was ultimately made in the same central kitchen where all food comes from. Also avoid the cheese on the pasta from the taverna - it had blue spots on it. Nitpicking about the apartment: insufficient power outlets near the bedside table - everyone wants to charge their phone, right?

We loved Candia! Such a pretty village. Lovely staff, pretty flowers and lush greenery everywhere, clean pools, kids club and lovely beach. Conveniently located to reach many beautiful places in the east side of Crete by car. Breakfast was great. Big apartment, separate bedroom to the kitchen, nice terrace, bottle of wine included, fruit, all new and comfy, cleaned daily. Bicycles are available to rent for free at the village.

It’s quite expensive and would have liked for half board to be included for the price. Evening buffet meals can be paid separately which gives you flexibility but there may be a surcharge if they have a special night. No drinks included in the meals. Evening entertainment for the kids goes from 6:30-7:30 pm (bubble show, magic show, dance..) then they can run around, go to the playground, climb the olive tree, play football in the square. That suited us very well but may be limited for older children. Bikes are available for free, but no child seat or children bikes so we couldn’t use them.

Beautiful grounds and the village itself, well secured and remote location. Good choices for breakfast, nice gelateria sandy private beach with options to snorkel, large shallow swimming pool. Perfect for families with small kids who just want pool /beach holiday.

Very crowded with young families in July, could be noisy and busy, especially around the pool. No privacy in the back gardens due to houses built close to each other and very overlooked - we had to keep shutters of patio door closed all the time to have some privacy. Planting a shrubery line between houses would solve this problem.

This was our second time in this hotel although I am an explorer of new things. We were so happy in the first time, we have not think of another hotel in that area. It is super child friendly, nice and large village that one does not feel to be stuck in a hotel. The food, sea, pools, green areas and rooms are beautiful. I can strongly suggest for families with babies and toddlers. There is also a great facility for kids.

In our room on the ceiling (although it seems they cleaned and painted again), there were signs of mold in a quite a large area which bothered me. In the first time our room was much better in all senses. I asked to do late check out like 1 or 1.5 hour (I am travelling with a kid), they asked me to pay extra money, although I spent already for my expenses in this hotel x50 times more than what they have asked. yes, it is their right to ask for it, but it felt a bit weird, neither I stayed more nor paid the money.
