The location was amazing - right on the beachfront of an unspoilt beach in Frangokastello. The self-catering accommodation was perfect. Friendly host and attentive. Clean and well maintained. We returned for a further 2 nights at the end of our holiday and won't hesitate to return again in the future. Beautiful sunsets from terrace and listening to the sea from your bed .......... perfect!

Minor points - kitchen utensils are adequate, but a small pan would be helpful. Found operating hob difficult and no instructions. Pillows weren't the most comfortable.

The position is fantastic though the facilities are starting to get a little dated, only had beds changed twice during 2 weeks, we did visit lerapetra for 3 days but feel that bedsstill needed doing as we had paid for a full 2 weeks Great area though cam be a tad windy, two evenings it was difficult to walk, Also we visited Stavros restaurant, what a lovely gem that is

Off season it was a dream. Quiet, beautiful, close to a really good restaurant. Lovely beach to walk along . Sleeping to the sound of the waves. Great location and scenery. Amazing value for money. It may be that in the heat of summer some of these good things suffer but in early May it was magical and we will hope to return off season next year.

Wi fi only available in the reception area or by leaning dangerously over the room balcony. But who needs wi fi all the time in holiday? It was enough.

A little paradise, accommodation is on the older side but very clean and exactly what I needed. It's right on beach, peaceful and amazing. Highly recommend.

Wifi is not great here... rooms are a bit dated, it's an older place but you can't beat the location. DO NOT trust your GPS to go there, it will take you through a very dangerous road in the mountains and please make sure you drive here in daytime !!

The location was wonderful with sea views and the hotel grounds lead straight onto the beach. Perfect for family hols as the rooms had cooking facilities, So if your on a budget, this would be ideal as the price is excellent given the quiet beach location. It was clean & comfortable and parking was excellent too.

It was a little tired and really needs some tlc, but otherwise good

Room cleaning every other day. Front view and direct access to the sea, with sun bed available for all the guests. Quiet place and relaxing atmosphere.

Beachfront, wonderful location to enjoy the beach. Fantastic view from rooms. Nice quiet beach. Large basic room with all necessities, we were able to prepare all our basic meals in the room. Short drive to Hora Sfakion for ferry or hiking trails to other beaches. Great value for money, would definitely return.

Slow WiFi, functional for basic needs but wouldn’t be able to work remotely. Short walk to Frangokastello, not a problem for us though.

This was our first stay at Stavris hotel and we loved it! We took a bus from Chania to Chora Sfakion, and from there we continued with a minibus to Frangokastello. The minibus dropped us off by the hotel, which was perfect. The Stavris hotel is by the sea and all the residents have a balcony with seaview. It's just incredible to get to listen to the sea day and night! The hotel, the beach and actually the whole area Frangokastello is quiet and somewhat sleepy - in a pleasant way! Still, you have a nice variety of taverns, cafés and grocery stores nearby so you certainly won't starve :) There are some interesting sights around such as Imbros gorge and Frangokastello fortress. (Although we didn't see the gorge.) The Stavris hotel is perfect for beach loving couples who want to relax, swim, read their books by the sea or do some snorkeling. And did I already mention... in Frangokastello there are several beaches within walking distance!

We really enjoyed ourselves at Stavris hotel, it's just that it would have been nice to have the room (or at least the bathroom) cleaned daily. Wi-fi was quite slow (perhaps because of so many users?), so don't expect to get to watch anything online.

The location is absolutely incredible! It’s really calm and the scenery nearby is unbelievably beautiful! The apartment itself looks simple but very clean and you have everything you need.

Everything was great!

Very clean rooms. Nice little balcony. Great sea view. Right on a lovely beach. 1 minute walk from the room. Lovely restaurant taverna Vatalos about 5 minutes walk. Would highly recommend. And we will definitely go back to stay again.
