The hotel is very nice, clean and quiet. The staff is excellent, as well as the big pool. The food for this price was nice, what I petsonally missed was a larger variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. It is easy to use the public transport, you just have to walk to the main road (cc 7-8 minutes).

Altough the hotel is just at the seaside, at this part of Crete there are no nice beaches since it under WWF protection regarding the sea turtles that go there to lay down their eggs. For the really nice beaches like Elafonisi, Falassarna you have to take the bus (or rent car). We took the bus everywhere, nice towns, villages are in reachable destination like Chania or Platanias.

Very clean room and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the beach towels that we could even take with us to our trip to Elafonisi. The hotel has a big pool and sunbeds, umbrellas and nice bar, however, the seaside a few steps away is public with no hotel services there. Breakfast was okay. There are supermarkets very close to the hotel, and restaurants in Kolimvari.

Smoking is allowed on the balcony and unfortunately we had a serious smoker neighbour so we could not relax on the balcony for long… It would be good to have a kettle or coffee maker with some cups in the room.

First of all the stuff was amazing and very friendly. Rooms are okay and the breakfast was good. The breakfast was okay for us. Thanks for all and kindness. All in all for us was good because we want to sleep and go to visit the gorgeous beaches.

I didn't like the air conditioner (it was pretty old and made a strange smell into the room), maybe they could change in the future. The front door could be more phonic isolated because was a party and we hear the sounds .

Greek hospitality at it’s best. Hotel room and public areas were immaculate. The staff were perfect, very friendly, cheerful and helpful. If you like quiet, this hotel is perfect. It is down a quiet road and close to the beach. I arrived after midnight, on my own and did feel a little vulnerable as there was no-one around, but found my room and felt better once inside. I was upgraded for free to the seaview room, which was lovely, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It’s about a 15 minute walk to a few very nice tavernas in the harbour.

We recently stayed at Chryssana Hotel in Crete, and it was wonderful! The hotel is beautifully designed and offers a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The location is great, close to lovely beaches and local attractions. I highly recommend Chryssana Hotel for a fantastic vacation!

The pool was extremely clean and the deck was spotless with no broken tiles. It's weir was topped continuously and also hoovered regularly. The backdrop with the Kolymvari hillocks was relaxing, the breakfast was a mixture of UK and Greek, which went well. It attracts guests who seek a tranquil ambience, hence no blaring music in the restaurant, nor loud chatter. Evening dinner at 16 Euros only was very fairly priced. The staff went out of their way to ensure that the holiday was stress free. Ample parking within hotel grounds or just outside under the tamarisks. There are about ten restaurants within walking distances. I particularly liked Nikosforos and dined there twice. Being Maltese, we love eating fresh Mediterranean fish. If you have wheels, do visit the nearby Afrata hamlet, which has two excellent Cretan food restaurants. We dined at the family-run Kali Kardia, with full dinner costing only 47.50euros. The other one is also family-run, the noted Tis Listas ta Kamomata, which, being Monday, was closed when we went and is firmly on the bucket list.

No complaints or rants. I would surely stay again if am re-visiting western Crete.

The air conditioning could do with an upgrade. Would have been good to have washing sink in the toilet too.

The location was perfect close to everything. The pool was great. The staff, especially Anastasia, was so pleasant and helpful always with a smile . We were greeted by a wonderful gentleman who explained everything to us about the hotel as well as the area . I must also mention that the breakfast was exceptional.

No entertainment program, no beach sunbeds/umbrellas, no beach bar, and although it's literally area which produce lots of quality olive oil, you won't find olive oil bottles on a table for dinner :(

Lovely big pool although it doesn't open until 10.30am. Very peaceful during our stay in October even though it was busy. Good breakfast, plenty of choices at the buffet.

Juice at breakfast was more like squash. Kettle in the room would be useful.
