Our room 'Notus' offered breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and an outstanding breakfast every morning. The Salty Houses have a wonderful host, wonderful & engaging staff and an exceptional kitchen (from the mouthwatering food to the original cocktails)! We highly recommend you experience the Salty Houses for yourself, with or without family, if you are looking for very clean, stylish, full-service facilities located close to one of the best beaches on Mykonos (Kalo Livadi), and only a short drive from the old town. This hotel offers a peaceful retreat, with a home-away-from home feel, that will allow you to escape the stress of daily life.

An incredible view, a spectacular room where every window was picture perfect and the warmest most genuine welcome from Sissi. We had such a fabulous time and loved our Mykonos retreat with amazing private pool. On our first day we realised we hadn’t packed any toys for the beach, and Sissi went the following day to buy our daughters stuff for the beach, a very special host.

Breakfast was amazing, I can see it would be a good view and spot in peak season however we visited on the edge of low season so there was lots of building work going on near by which can't be helped by the hotel. Our suite was outstanding! The perfect privacy spot. Beautiful. Clean. The honeymoon suite is like having your own house rather than a hotel room. Would be great for a family too. Manager was lovely.

Seeing the building work going on across the bay, but again nothing the hotel could do. Couldn't fault the hotel themselves.

We were greeted by property Host “Sissy” who made our stay enjoyable. It was pleasant to meet nice people during our vacation, the entire staff was so accommodating. The views were just “expectacular” and the room was super clean with pleasant and refreshing ambient. The location was amazing, a quiet place to enjoy time with family and friends. The breakfast and lunch were just “amazing”, and the great and genuine service was the cherry on top of the ice cream.

Loved our stay at Salty Houses!Its run by a lovely family who take care to make sure you enjoy your stay! Beautiful view of the ocean , lovely pool area - my kids went almost every day! The breakfast was nice and their restaurant serves delicious food!! We had requested Sissy to arrange a birthday cake for our 5year old and she organized a very delicious mousse cake and ofcourse the birthday boy was thrilled! Thank you Salty Houses for the memorable stay and beautiful memories. We are glad we chose to stay here in Mykonos. A car is a must if you stay here. The beach is a 3 min walk away and its perfect for families and kids. The hotel provides beach towels and pool towels.

This place is a dream! We loved everything about it! First of all, the host lady is running this hotel in a way that everybody should. Everything is nice and clean and every employee is helpful and hard working. The house keeping lady made our appartment clean every morning and saluted us with a smile everytime. The boys at the restaurant/pool area were so nice, they always guessed our desires and helped us with everything. Their service was 10 out of 10, not to mention the kindness that they have shown to our 5 years old son. I don’t even have to tell you, that they became friends. All in all, we couldn’t find anything that we unliked, everything was perfect!

Everything was just perfect: the location, 20 minutes driving away from the cahotic downtown, 5 minutes waking from the beautiful beach of Kalo Livadi e 5’ driving from Kalafati, the only free equipped beach in the island. Also the staff is extremely kind and thoughtful. The food just amazing and the rooms super clean and spacious with breathtaking views on the gulf and terraces to relax.

There is really nothing I could say to make this place improve.

Very comfortable, quiet, spacious room. Pool was a little small but had a gorgeous view and the restaurant had delicious food & drinks. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

It’s a bit secluded and requires taxi service to do anything, which means dealing with advance bookings, etc. (Mykonos is busy + takes a solid 20min for taxi to get to property/go anywhere). Not really a problem but dealing with the transport was not super relaxing (& quite pricey).

Excellent service by staff and very nice owner Ms Sissy. Alex was fantastic. I left my jewellery behind accidently and they made sure to deliver it on time to the port before my departure. Great property with a view.. Great for a quite spa like retreat. The spa services were provided by external professionals who were exceptional and treatment was called wine and grape experience was fantastic. The cocktails and food were also amazing.

The only this is the property is out of the way from the buzzing old town so getting a cab to and fro came at a surcharge premium especially after 7pm. All bars around this place closes by 9pm so that was a downer.

I knew from other reviews and the photos that Salty Houses would be special, but it exceeded my expectations! I chose Kalo Livadi and specifically Salty Houses for the relaxation part of my Greek island adventure. It is quieter than other areas in Mykonos, but that’s what I wanted. I didn’t have a car, as I had already visited other parts of the island before arriving here. Salty Houses sits on a a small hill overlooking the bay and there are no other properties in front. The studios, pool and restaurant / bar area have been designed to provide wonderful, unobstructed views of the sea. Salty Houses is architecturally striking and beautifully designed, using the local stone. The interior design has an informal elegance feel to it. My studio was spacious and it was lovely to have a comfortable seating area inside and outside. As soon as I arrived I instantly felt relaxed! My communication with Sissy, the owner prior to my arrival was excellent. Sissy was there to greet me when I arrived and was available throughout my stay, nothing was too much trouble. It was my birthday the day I arrived and Sissy arranged a lovely surprise dessert complete with candle! She is supported by a small team, who were also dedicated to making my stay special. The breakfast is fabulous, it was a feast for my eyes and my stomach! Although the studios have kitchen facilities, I ate in the restaurant every night. The menu is international. Every dish I tried was beautifully presented and tasted amazing! Nice to see Greek wines on the drinks menu and were a revelation, as they are not well known in the UK. The wonderful Greek hospitality I received combined with the beautifully designed Salty Houses to make the most of the stunning views and the fantastic food all create a feeling of paradise that you won’t want to leave! Thank you Sissy, Alex, George, Athina and the rest of the team for providing the perfect ending to my Greek adventure!
