We particularly appreciated Vangelis' welcome and advice. It was a great stay in a very friendly, green setting with a beautiful swimming pool and a flat that lived up to our expectations. Joanna Villas is a very nice place to recharge your batteries, knowing that the beach is very close, including numerous shops and good restaurants overlooking the sea... great in the evening 😊 What's more, it's easy to get around thanks to the local bus to FIRA, the central station, which goes downhill to all destinations. We fell in love with Joanna Villas as soon as we arrived. The common area where the pool and breakfast area are located have a stunning background view of the mountain. The room was very nicely decorated, very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and shower. Fantastic location, wonderful breakfast and Vaggelis the owner is one of the highlights of the place. Rest assured he will do everything to make your stay perfect. We followed all his recommendations and were very happy to have done so as all of them were great! Great places to eat nearby. Do go to Elias grill and Firastikies.

We stayed here 4 nights, our room was on the 2nd floor. It was nicely decorated, had a balcony with pool view, a comfortable bed, a very nice modern bathroom, a kitchenette with kettle, kitchen stuff, fridge, and even portable electric stove (on the shelf). Breakfast was very good. Coffee and tea were available anytime. The hotel is located in quiet area and very close(2 minutes walking) to the shops, restaurants and beach (it was still possible to swim in October). We use this place as a base to visit by car Thira, Oia, Light House and red beach. Our host, Vangelis, was very friendly, gave us advice on restaurants, helped us with fixing our broken suitcase handle, and, when we were leaving at 6:00 AM, he was already awake and helped to get down our suitcases! We enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much!

We spent a week at Joanna Villas in Santorini, and our stay absolutely superseded our expectations. This intimate and cozy hotel boasts a perfect location just steps away from shops, supermarkets, restaurants and the beach. The room decor is tasteful and the size just right for a family of four. The pool is large, with both a shallow and deep end. The breakfast is a mixture of local specialities and continental staples, and can be enjoyed with breathtaking views of the nearby mountain. The absolute best part, however, is the host Vangelis, who provided us with ample good advice and who was ready to assist us at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations at breakfast with a nice cup of coffee. We hope to visit again in the future and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Santorini.

We had a fantastic time. Joanna Villas feels like a little oasis, peaceful, but minutes away from some great restaurants, bars and the beach. The apartments have everything you need, immaculately clean with good insulation, with each has a little outside table/chairs area (our favourite spot in the late evenings). The pool and surrounding area is well designed with lovely gardens - it's a great spot for families. There's a great rocky mountain backdrop to the south (Mesa Vouno) too, which is a steep but enjoyable walk in the early morning or evening. The host/owner Vangelis was helpful, generous and very friendly throughout (all the other staff were lovely too!). He was full of great advice on the local town, and other places to see on Santorini and how best to get there (and when to go!). Vangelis wanted us to have the best holiday possible, and we very much appreciated that.

1. Vangelis is friendly, generous and provides great information ( where to go, where to eat, etc) 2. The villa is very close to the black beach, yet situated in a quiet area, so you won't feel disturbed. 3. The vibe is chill and peaceful! 4. It’s suitable for family with kids.

1. Wi-Fi is not so stable for couple nights. ( it didn’t bother me too much. My friends wanted to watch videos and didn’t have enough data…..it’s a bit annoying for them) 2. If you don’t like kids, here might not be your choice. We stayed here for 2 nights and there were 3-4 families with kids.

The location of the property is fantastic! Walkable to Kamari beach with all its restaurants and shops. The pool is wonderful, clean and with pool toys to use. Our apartment was perfect for a family of five, we travelled with our three children (6, 10 & 12) and were all very comfortable. The apartment was meticulously cleaned daily and new beach towels given out every day. The villas are perfect for children and families and we were made to feel very welcome by the host who made some excellent recommendations of restaurants for us. We have visited Greece many many times (normally doing all inclusive options) but hands down we all felt this ticked every box and was a more relaxing experience. Joanna Villas we miss you already, a beautiful place we couldn’t rate highly enough!

Such a special place. Really peaceful location with beautiful landcaping and mountain views just 2 minutes from the beach and many restaurants. Simple but lovely apartments with a shared pool. Great for families with little play areas and baby pool. Vangelis the owner is so helpful and kind. Most of the people there had been several times. We don't normally return to the same place but will definitely make an exception for Joanna Villas.

Maybe another shaded canopy area by the pool would be nice. Some main gates out to the road just for peace of mind when you have a young child exploring.

Best decision we ever made. We changed our hotel reservation at last minute to stay here. Central location with walking distance to nearby shops, restaurants, car rentals etc....3 mins walk to the beach. Vengalis made us feel welcome, comfortable and so unbelievably well looked after. It’s in A great location, the staff are amazing and our room was incredible. As first timers in the island we couldn’t have picked a better spot. We were staying as the last leg of our trip up the coast as a family and celebrating my wife's birthday. It’s a stay we’ll never forget! We will definitely come back again!

Hidden gem behind the main seafront road, so just minutes walk to the beach, bars and restaurants and run by the most amazing host. Immaculate apartments with authentic Greek feel yet modernised, with a pretty pool area/gardens. Vangelis the owner/host just makes this place and cannot do enough for you. Always milling around chatting, or passing you a beer/glass of sangria or a mini chocolate ice cream when lounging round the pool. It’s the nice little touches that makes this place. Spent 3 nights here with my 14 and 17 year old girls before moving up to Oia and could have definitely stayed longer.
