Excellent location - the hotel is literally next to the Sai Ying Pun A2 Exit. Good facilities and reasonable price. Have (partial) sea view at the room. A 7-Eleven is right across the street, and a supermarket Wellcome is nearby.

The Sai Ying Pun A2 Exit has no escalator. The escalator going down at exit A was under maintenance during our stay, and the stairs are incredibly steep and long. Will recommend to take the lift at the right hand side before going up to exit A if carry luggage. Use the doors at the side (but not the one facing the main street) and the lobby is at the 7th floor.

Room is quite large for HK standards. Good bed and shower, wifi worked well. Friendly staff that is willing to help. I first had a room on the 8th floor, but after a few days requested a room on a higher floor (to avoid the street noise). They arranged this immediately and without complications. The new room on the 22nd floor was quiet, great views too. Convenient location next to Sai Ying Pun MTR exit A2. Interesting neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and options for exploring. All in all excellent value for money in HK. I would definitely consider using this hotel again in the future.

After arrival I first got a room on the 8th floor, facing the harbour and busy Des Voeux road. The room was good, but there was quite a lot of noise from the street, especially from the trams that started riding very early in the morning. So probably a room not facing the street or on a high floor is to be preferred. The hotel does not provide breakfast, but this is not a big issue as there are plenty of restaurants close to the hotel.

Good location, with plenty of local diners and restaurants around. Within a few minutes walk from the Macau Ferry Pier, with the old tram stopping right in front of the hotel and the subway station next door. The room was big enough and had good amenities. It was also quiet. Staff is nice and particularly the older gentleman at the door downstairs, Tom (if my memory serves me well). He’s not only super nice, but he’s also very helpful with tips (for instance: where to go eat around) and he went out of his way to help me when I left the hotel. I had a big suitcase, a bag and a rucksack and he took me to a hidden entrance of the subway where I could take the elevator. He made me feel as if I was living in the building and he was the concierge. A gem!

I hadn’t realized when I booked that the hotel doesn’t offer breakfast, but that was no problem with the myriad of local places around.

I am very happy with my stay at Eco Tree Hotel. The location was excellent, right next to the MTR station. Bus station and Tram station also nearby. We stayed 18 days, and there's a laundry place available 150 steps away from the hotel. Although there isn't a gym, swimming pool, beautiful lobby, restaurant and other facilities but it's suitable for our stay. Definitely recommended!

The entrance is a bit small and on the side road.

Great location and atmosphere . If you take the airport shuttle bus, you can get off at the HK-Macau ferry terminal stn. It’s 10-13 mins away from the HK-Macau ferry terminal. If you take MTR, it’s just next to the A2 exit. When you have luggage, please use the exit A1. Room is cozy and tidy. Bed and the pillows not too soft, you could enjoy good sleep. I love to see trams walking on the streets. This place with the greatest views. Also, it’s located on an old community. There are some historical sightseeing spots around. If you like to sink in the old city, here definitely is your best choice!

Water pressure could be more stronger

A perfect location - right next door to the metro. Made it very easy getting in from the airport and also moving around the city. For the most part everything was clean and comfortable.

We requested the hotel staff to help us book a taxi to the airport. We requested for a Jumbo taxi.. as we are 3 adults with 5 pcs of luggage. We agreed with the price at 500 HKD thinking that it was a Jumbo taxi. Prior to the agreed time, the taxi driver wanted to add another 100 HKD to the price as we were facing typhoon warning. The taxi which came was just a normal taxi. We had to squeeze all in the bag seat and 2 luggage in the front seat. So in total the uncomfortable taxi ride came up to 600 HKD. Which was more than double the meter price (the taxi driver had the meter on). It was quite an unpleasant end to our wonderful trip. The Hotel might want consider working with taxi drivers/taxi companies that are more honest.

The room was spacious even though it was located in central Hong Kong. The room was clean and tidy. The furniture in the room were well-maintained. It was nice that there was a portable heater available in the room. We liked to use the portable heater in the morning and after having a shower. The hotel is located near many sightseeing spots (e.g. The Peak Tram, Temple Street Night Market, Tsim Sha Tsui). There is a tram stop (Eastern Street station) right outside the hotel. The hotel is also less than 5 minutes' walk to Sai Ying Pun station entrance. Once we enter Sai Ying Pun station entrance, we need to walk around 5 minutes more (via an underground walkway) to reach the tap-in machines of the train station.

Even though there are no hotel breakfast options available, there were multiple bakeries near the hotel and a 7-Eleven at the nearest Sai Ying Pun train station.

The location is really good, just next to Exit A2 of SaiYingPun MTR station (stairs, no escalators), within walking distance from bus stops if taking A10 or A11. The entire street is full of shops selling dried goods and eateries nearby. The lobby is at Level 7 and has 2 lifts. The lobby is quite small and can be squeezy if there are too many people checking in/out at the same time. The staff are polite. Booked a triple room which is spacious, clean and comfortable. The room and toilet are well-lit. Amenities were provided too. Given the price, it's a good place to stay!

The cleaning services took some time (went out in the morning around 7.30am, was back in hotel around 3pm but the room wasn't cleaned).

Location was the best feature, convenient for transport as MTR was next door and buses/trans were directly in front of hotel. You need to enter from side alley but it felt safe as it was well lit and concierge/security guard was usually around. Sensory overload as you are directly on ‘dried seafood street’ so the smells can be overwhelming but we got use to it. We also liked the overall size of family room with plenty of space for family if 4 to spread out. The facilities are basic with mini bar fridge, kettle, teas/coffee supplied, hairdryer, safe. We asked for iron and ironing board which they promptly delivered. The view towards the harbour was between high rise buildings as it’s a block or two off the harbour but you can see the water and much nicer than looking into buildings only. Overall as described and size is luxurious for HK standards.

Bit out-dated and reception is on different level, L7? It’s not well sign posted so we didn’t know where to go initially but concierge directed us. Our shower was blocked on first night and shower head broken, which was quickly resolved. There was a decent eatery downstairs for dinner (we only tried dinner but they appeared to be open during day too), it was OK as we were too tired to look for food but they don’t speak English although there is an English menu.
