The room was spacious and could have slept more than 3 people. I appreciated a lot the way this small apartment was organized- if we had stayed for more than two nights, we could have used the kitchen and be fully independent throughout the entire stay. I also enjoyed the view and the quiet of the place. Arnarstapi is a grouping of farmhouses, hardly a village, I cannot possibly think what more one could ask for in such a place. To have a hotel is a luxury to start with!
A more personal note when being in contact with staff: I understand young people are being hired from all over the world in hotels everywhere in Iceland to receive guests from all over the world, but this could be balanced with someone specialised in communication, maybe. It feels like everyone is communicating through an AI app with each other, which gets the job done, sure, but does not allow for any kind of bonding with the place one stays at. On the other hand, this is not so important. The staff did everything they should've.

Clean, large room, comfy beds. Nice hot shower with good pressure. Nice heating also. Big windows to let you enjoy the aurora (if you’re lucky enough). Excellent location in the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, some attractions are within walking distance and others are a short drive away.
On the day of the check-in I got a message from the property saying the front desk was open until 10pm, and after that you had to do a self check-in process. To our surprise, we arrived there at 8pm and it was already closed. No worries, we proceeded to the room to do the self check-in (which involves opening a safe next to the door), only to find the key hanging there on the door. The restaurant was also closed, and since it’s a very small village, everything else was also closed.

The location was close to several viewpoints and was close to the ring road. The room and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was especially nice because there were two. One was a full bath the other was a half bath (two toilets, one shower)
The kitchen did not have adequate lighting. There was no microwave or toaster. There were no tables or furniture for nightstands or to place luggage. The sofa was bulky but small. It only fit two people but it took a lot of space in the room. The parking was not near the apartment, so we had to drag the luggage to the other side of the property. Everything else was adequate, except for the bathrooms which were exceptional.

booked this hotel in a pinch as a local cabin we booked gave us the incorrect pin code to get key from lockbox and their phone went to voice mail so we were stuck with no place to stay the night. luckily this hotel had a family room available so booked it through the app last minute, staff were really helpful and told me to book through app for the discount. tried the restaurant and enjoyed the food, location is beautiful, staff lovely, prices are comparable to most restaurants in Iceland. the room its self was basic but functional, not much in way of decoration, kitchen wasn't really used but nice to have a fridge. Had heard the showers were crap and limited time for hot water, which is why we didnt book this place initially, but found it had enough hot water to shower four people separately no problem so its a non issue. wish I had booked this place initially rather than a local cabin that let us down, we were getting married at Búðakirkja church in the morning so booking this place last minute was a life saver. Safe to say I will never book a non hotel using booking.com again, now i got to fight to get my money back for the cabin i couldn't use.
the TV remote was missing, tried using the buttons on the TV but no channels available.

This is a great place to see the Aurora borealis, and a nice mid-point for traveling around the Snaefellsness peninsula. The staff was willing to work with our requests. A lovely space to rest and a base to explore the area.
The food options did not work very well for me, as I have allergies. The room initially did not match the website pictures and description--and when we asked to make sure of some amenities, they said they were there, and then on arrival they said they don't offer them at all. After some discussion, we did work out a room switch that was much better. I also paid for a 'breakfast included' option that doesn't seem to exist, you must pay for the food there. This may be more an issue with Booking than with the site itself.

These units were interesting to stay in -- very comfy and BIG windows! We were glad they had curtains as the sunlight was intense. The area around the hotel was awesome for going on short and scenic walks. There is a restaurant on the property and that was a nice place for dinner. I don't think there were many other options. We also had breakfast there too.

The rooms were "like new," and the family enjoyed the facility. Of the eight hotels on this trip, this was the best location for spotting the auroras!
While the family thought it was great, I was disappointed that these were little more than connexs. However, now my wife wants one, so I guess I'll be looking into how to purchase one!

Great quiet location for sightseeing with all basic amenities and easy walk to great sea views. Very remote area so this is a good location for what few amenities are available in the area.
Covered walk connecting rooms with main office/dining would be nice during bad weather. Food prices were very high and not many options in the area. You may want to bring snacks with you to this area to save a little money.

Unbeatable location. Beautiful views our every window. Outstanding service. Spacious, clean room. Very comfortable accommodations. Great food at the hotel restaurant and delicious fish and chips food truck right across the street.
Nothing! We loved everything about our stay! One note: GPS took us to an abandoned building down the road and Google told us the hotel was permanently closed when we tried to find a better address. After a brief panic, we stopped in a building that did not have a sign for the hotel to ask for directions. It turned out to be the hotel restaurant!

Great Location, right on the cliffs of Arnarstapi Village. Despite the weather being poor that weekend I stayed, its a formidable location.
Angry Birds attacked me upon arrival. Soon I understood it was because they have their nesting sites on right on the hotel premises.
