I stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe room and it was so nice and cozy, especially as I arrived and was a bit sick. The staff arranged for a tuk-tuk for me to fetch me from the train station and take me to the hostel door as I arrived late at night and had not been to Jaisalmer before. Since my room was right next to a communal seating area outside, they also made sure people were quieter once I had arrived. The shower had good aircon and good shower pressure, and the bed was really cozy. The views from the hostel terrace are really amazing and the location inside the fort great.

It’s a beautiful property inside the Jaisalmer fort, it feels like you’re living a different era altogether. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. The views from the many common sitting areas is mind blowing - it’s the views from the fort itself so it’s the best view in the city. Our private room was very beautiful, with stone walls and a heritage-y traditional look.

The food in the cafe can do with some improvement. we tried the manchurian and chowmein - latter was great; the street kind that’s tasty; however the manchurian was a little burnt.

YOU MUST BOOK. This place is epic!!!! Best location ever, right inside the fort. Every afternoon we had chai from the Zostel cafe on the terrace overlooking the city at sunset. It was such a privilege to stay in a grand monument. Narendra and all the other staff were so attentive and exceptionally helpful. They booked everything for us, including our desert safari, and carried all our luggage. The food in the cafe was AMAZING!!!!! This place is epic value for money with delightful service. I can't wait to visit again. Thank you :)

I like it everything.

I booked the deluxe king room and it was exceptional for me. love the room, the bed and linens. stayed in Jan 2023 so no ac was used. Love the desert safari activity we joined. it was well planned and alot of fun. the staff in both hostel and desert safari was amazingly helpful and genuinely friendly. do note that cars or autos cannot drive to the doorstep as Zostel jaisalmer is located inside the fort. we packed light and don’t have huge luggage so it’s all good to walk a little. it’s 15-30mins from train station to hostel and contacts of the auto Zostel shared is very reliable with reasonable prices.

hot water is only available until 10.30pm. we couldn’t shower after that. another thing is, they don’t limit guests talking til late night at the patio or terrace just outside. it’s abit disturbing

Zostel was on the fort so the views were amazing from the top and balcony. It follows the old architecture from the fort with a modern touch I guess which was nice. The host was friendly and nice. My dorm was clean and all facilities were provided as mentioned.

I wish they accepted early check-in (this is not an issue, completely understandable). The most common train for Jaisalmer arrives super early at 5:00 in the morning so waiting until 11-12 for check-in is tedious.

The male staff was very rude, at first we thought it was a misunderstanding, but he was rude and mocking, calling me "bro" and seamingly getting upset when I didn’t understand. This happened for the whole length of our stay. He would laugh and say things in Hindi when we would asked questions to his colleague. The women at the front desk was very nice though!

Nice and clean ..room was comfortable and cozy and the staff was quite polite, courteous and helpful. Area was also great, away from the bustle of the city and quite peaceful.

GREAT location!!!!! Right in the middle of the fort and a wonderful historic place. Roof top terrasse is nice, food ok (sometimes a bit waiting). Friendly staff always helpful.

The superior rooms are really not cheap but ok ok it‘s really historic and nice. I had room 112 —> the shower / toilet next door makes sone noise… well you can‘t help it as it is a historic building.

- Location is perfect: inside the fort! - Staff are really nice and helpful - Bed are really comfortable, with clean bedsheets - Very nice rooftop - Breakfast is delicious, I ate there every morning - Shower with hot water

- No curtain for bunkbeds - I think it could be good to add ones for more privacy :) - Bathroom was not always cleaned - however whenever you ask them they do it
