This was an attractive property set in its own, peaceful grounds back off the main road. There was a nice buffet breakfast and evening meal, offering multiple options for those wanting curry, or wanting to avoid it. The rooms were huge and the beds comfortable. The shower was good and hot and the wifi worked well in rooms and the restaurant. I think this would be a great place to stay in warmer weather, as the rooms would stay cool and the pool could be enjoyed (but it was cold early Jan when we stayed). We were provided with blankets for our early morning tiger safari, which were very much appreciated. The hotel shop was great - we bought several lovely pashminas and a few pieces of jewellery. There are tailors on site who will whip up clothing or copy something of your own made up in a matter of hours. They have a wide choice of materials in stock.

The rooms were not warm in early Jan. There was no heater and just one extra duvet provided (for two single beds). Room service was supposed to be available, but it wasn’t clear what times they served it. On several occasions when I rang the restaurant to order food, nobody replied. I also tried reception but they were often engaged. I am not sure whether to be amused or annoyed by the receptionist who took my phone and started giving the hotel top star ratings on Booking.com while I was checking out - fortunately I caught him in time and took back my phone before he had sent the review.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Most luxurious place I’ve ever stayed in India, the room was spacious and modern as was the bathroom. The pool area was good (though I didn’t go in as it was so cold!) with lots of deckchairs, as well as other reclining seats in the garden. We didn’t actually use the on-site bar and restaurant though got room service breakfast which was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our safari booking which was sorted by staff.

Not the hotel’s fault, but we were really harassed by locals begging on the main road outside the property (blocking our path, grabbing at our hair and clothing) which made going out of the property, especially alone, less appealing! It would be good if there was somewhere for guests to refill water themselves as we had to ask staff every time. Also our safari was in zone 8 (zones 1-5 are known for having more tigers) so maybe check if booking a safari through the hotel like we did

The location was really good, easy to access Ranthambore National Park. The bedroom was huge, really good side and included facilities you would expect at this hotel. Heritage feel, with authentic furniture. Staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment in the evening in the form of Tiger documentary about the park. Good choice of food at dinner. I didn’t go in the pool but others did and it looked fine!

Locks on door of heritage room - it wasn’t explained to me but I figured it out! It was nice touch once I realised. Bathroom needed a little extra cleaning but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

The hospitality and effort!! We (2 sisters) went to the hotel with our dad and it was his birthday that day! We asked the staff before hand if they could arrange a birthday surprise with a cake for our dad! After we had dinner the staff took us to a private table and had a beautiful cake with his name on it and candles with a lot of flowers around it. They put in the extra effort to give my dad a beautiful birthday! We were very happy, and my dad was also very happy! Also the rooms were very nice, spacious and clean! The staff was there to help us during our whole stay. The guys working at dinner also took care of us very politely, they brought us extra plates of food and checked up on us many times to see if we needed anything. All in all our stay was very pleasant and we were positively suprised with their hospitality!

The staff was great, Manish the manager and Uttam the restaurant manager were always helping, asking if we needed anything else, spoiling my kid, always with a smile and very efficient at organising anything we needed. Everyone was nice and helpful, but i don't remember their names. Location is good, close to town, but also great for the tiger safaris. The hotel looks good, nice swimming pool, lovely jungle feel. The food at the restaurant is good and fresh, diverse and good value for money. Spacious room and comfortable, the bathroom has seen better days and needs some touch ups. All in all, It is very good value for money, the lovely staff and jungle vibe, and the type of people staying there would definitely make me stay at the Raj Palace Resort again in the future.

Bathroom needs work

Food was good. On three days there was a buffet dinner - plenty of dishes to choose from. On our final day, there was only one other couple staying so the meal was from the a la carte menu. Breakfast was good. Tea/coffee and biscuits were available at 6am in the restaurant for people going out on morning safaris and breakfast was still available for them on their return. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good souvenir shop on site, where we bought t-shirts for our grandsons. We were able to get laundry done and returned the same day.

On the day we arrived and on one other evening there was a party going on in the field next door to the hotel - we gather it's the wedding season. The volume was excessive, with constant very loud bass. Fortunately, it stopped at approx. 10pm - we understood that is a legal requirement.

Nice ambience.

Toilet was smelly and bed sheets were not clean enough.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had arranged and paid for a tiger safari prior to our stay through the hotel which went fine. The restaurant staff were fantastic, we had a very attentive waiter (I'm sorry that we did not get his name) who took care of us for every meal ensuring that we had vegan options and always talked to us about our day and remembered what we had done. The gardens around the hotel were fabulous, nice to relax in with a beer and had an abundance of bird life. Lovely and relaxing. they arranged last minute excursions for us for a good price and sorted out a taxi to collect us from the train station upon arrival. They also allowed us to have a late checkout which was much appreciated.

The rooms are a little tired and could do with a refresh. The TV didn't work in the room, it was connected to an inactive Sky box (it was not a smart TV). The pool didn't look too clean to entice us to go in.

This hotel was close to the town centre and Ranthambhore National Park. The hotel room and toilet/bathroom was very large and clean. A quiet hotel with comfortable beds. The wifi was good. Good customer service from the staff. Overall, I would recommend the hotel.

They should improve on the restaurant menu. For example, while the menu clearly indicates fish dishes but they were not available during our stay. Also, there were several incidents of power failures, which was annoying sometimes, particularly when having your dinner at the restaurant.

We only had one night and we arrived late at 9.45. The reception staff were great and ensured the buffet service was kept open so we could eat. Big rooms. Swimming pool looked fine (no time to use it). Went on the early morning safari and breakfast was still available when we returned at 10.35. Food was good and they willingly made fresh omelette, indian breads etc on request.

There was a bit of a mix up when checking out. We had paid 50% at the time of booking which was not accounted for on our room and also our friends room. We had to provide evidence by way of a copy of the payment transfer, despite it clearly being shown on our bank statement. After 10 minutes of them checking my digital pdf copy it was accepted. (Our friends had brought a paper copy). Just one to watch out for more than anything.
