If you travel for business and need to stay for almost two months in one place, then it becomes important to not simply book a hotel but to live in a place, that you would like to call "home". This hotel features everything that you would expect from a 5-star hotel, incl. a variety of quite popular restaurants. It was an exceptional experience of hospitality and service attitude, that I met here. The entire team, without any exception, from the entrance and the concierge through the reception up to the room service and the restaurant teams, from management and the staff - exceptional. It stays true, that in service business quality and customer satisfaction depend on people, on every very single individual person. Thus, I am hesitating to mention individual names, as it would be unfair towards the many others I can't mention here. Thanks to all of you 🥰. I am particularly grateful to the kitchen team, who helped me in a medical emergency situation without having been asked for. - Thanks, Arulraj and team! If you compare the Planet Hollywood with some of the well-known branded 5-star hotels near Mumbai airport, which charge crazy prices just because of their brand, then the "Planet Hollywood Thane" offers as a benchmark the best personal service at very reasonable prices.

Everything was good

You hear a lot of things about India and people tend to focus on the negatives. For this reason, I had low expectations of the hotel and location. The reality was a very pleasant surprise :-) Very friendly staff, well maintained environment, attention to detail, good services, comfortable rooms, swimming pool, Spa, etc. In my ratings, I dropped them a point on the breakfast because I thought they could have had more variety in the area of fruit and non-cooked breakfast. However, I think for most guests, the buffet and show-cooking were right on the mark. For dinner, I tried both the in-house restaurants (Café Hollywood and Mad Max) and both were excellent quality with large portions and good service. I was there for 22 nights and experienced no "health issues" whatsoever, which is a clear sign of a good kitchen! I also ate at many of the local restaurants and most of these were also of a high standard. The location ("Thane") is an area for "comfortable well-off" locals so the area is clean, safe and a pleasant place to stay and visit. "The Walk" is the local pedestrian zone with many shops and restaurants - all worth a visit. Back at the hotel, the free-time offerings really made a difference to my visit. I went swimming in the roof-top pool almost every day. Its not huge but you can have a decent swim. The Gym is small but well-equipped and the Spa offers excellent massage at about 40% of the rates charged in Europe. On the whole, a great place to stay that I am happy to recommend.

As with all big hotels, the little things were occasionally forgotten - e.g. the complimentary daily drinking water. However, a quick call to reception and such issues were quickly and quietly resolved :-)

Great hotel in Hiranandani Estate in Thane. It's luxurious and one of its kind in Thane. Overall very good with good room, bed and facilities. Running hot and cold water in shower worked fine. Rooftop swimming pool and restaurant was good. Breakfast spread included with room was really good. Good options available in both Indian and Continental.

Shower gel was not refilled in the shower and the hand shower and head shower didn't work fine when you turned on hand shower the head shower was also dripping. Restaurants in the hotel are super costly. Room could have a small desk instead of two dinning tables.

Generally the staff was exremely friendly and motivated. I have never expierienced similar level of motivation before. The breakfast for example offered almost every style of food, however with a focus indian style . The staff was very caring and even made wishes happen that were not immediately available like morning soup.

Not all facilities were in operation yet as it is a very new hotel. I am curious how these are when I come back next time. Other than that nothing to mention here.

The shower wasn't heating well and water force was weak - also I had to call the housekeeping thrice as the TV channels were showing up on the TV but only the third time did the staff actually explain how to work the remote keys so that this will not recur.

All facilities were as declared in the description . The room service was very efficient. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent. The Staff were very friendly. Need to mention the Guest Relations Executive Pratiksha, for her excellent skills in Guest Handling.

Housekeeping could have been better. Towards the early morning, the air conditioning wasn't working, which was surprising considering that it is a brand new hotel. Also, all the lights didn't work in the morning when I needed it because it was still pitch dark at 0630. Also, the water flow in the hand shower could definitely have been better, temperature control was too sensitive for comfort.

The team at this hotel made it, our group of 12 had a great tie, were made to feel very welcome and we were very much looked after - a really great hotel - stay here.

Mini bar didn't have a single item. Tea coffee sachets insufficient - only two for a whole day. Toiletries missing on day 1 and kept only on day 2. Needs to improve room service
