Breakfast was fine, I have had better. there wasn't selection of fruit juices and I do not think it was freshly squeezed. You were offered the drink by waiter. Poor selection of fresh fruit not cut up. No apples. Location great on the ghats but access difficult. Hotel said when I left that on arrival they would have sent porter to collect luggage but I was not informed prior to arrival. My guide dragged my luggage over the difficult terrain not good for the suitcase.

Knowledge of activities offered by hotel. I only found out about the hotel boat because guide enquired at desk. There might have been other activities in the hotel. I saw various people having drinks in the courtyard which seemed like a drinks reception.

This location is truly amazing; the building is reminiscent of a bygone era and is situated adjacent to the Ganges River. It was my second visit to this hotel in my last two consecutive trips to Varanasi; this itself speaks volumes.  In light of our group of eight individuals, ages 12 to 80, from the UK, USA, and India, Mr. Uday's team was fabulous, very kind, considerate, and welcoming. I came with my entire family. The hotel room with a Ganga view is amazing; the rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfast was great, and the in-house restaurant was very nice. The whole experience was great. Thank you, Mr. Uday and the team.

Our stay could not have been better-this hotel is a true gem by the Ganges! From the moment we arrived by boat, the team made us feel incredibly welcome. The location is absolutely perfect, offering superb views of the river and easy access to all the local attractions, This hotel thought of everything to make our stay unforgettable. On our first evening, we were lucky enough to witness one of the mesmerizing night ceremonies, an experience made even more special by the seamless arrangements from the hotel, returning afterward for dinner felt like the perfect end to the day The room was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and free from any issues, providing a great escape from the chaos of horns and traffic outside. Once inside, it felt like a tranquil haven, ans was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration, Thankyou team, you really made us feel special.

Great locations with comfortable beds and friendly helpful staff

Boutique property of the Royal Nepali family has been converted into a beautiful hotel. The hotel is located at the Shivalaya Ghat and has a private steps leading to the Holy Ganga. The courtyard is well situated. The best part of our stay was the staff of the hotel. Courteous, helpful and always welcoming. The food is also amazing. This is a gem of a find. If your purpose is to go to the temples, ask for Sanjay. The hotel guide is awesome and will arrange for everything including wheelchair access should your party need one.

WiFi is definitely an issue.

The location was perfect, along the river Ganga making it super accessible to walk around the Ghatts. The breakfast spread was also really good and the staff were super helpful in ensuring we had a good experience while stating there.

The walk to the hotel especially if you have luggage, although the hotel staff were really kind and efficient in providing the service of carrying the luggage from wherever you are parked to the hotel, this means managing it by coordinating it with them in advance. Worked for us but need to be aware of this.

Overall good location with easy walking along the River. Building is well-keep with a great rooftop patio to enjoy the Ganga River view. The air conditioning in the room was great.

I would not recommend paying the extra cost for the River view room because the window is very small and located at waist level, which means you must sit down in front of the window to look out. Note that the hotel restaurant only serves vegetarian dishes and no alcohol (meat and alcohol are very rare throughout the city).

Cordial and polite staff. Speedy check-in process. Large and spacious rooms. Good ambience. A small balcony (with sitting space) over-looking Ganga river made for some great views. Food was good. The Guide provided by the property - Sanjay - was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The rooms on level 2 do not have large windows. Rather, they are small and rectangular and lower. The windows are all on level 1 only.
