I arrived tired and hungry and in a bad mood which led to my over reacting to a small problem in the room. I was truly amazed at how well the staff responded to my complaint. The Manager Pak Hilman and all of the staff were really fantastic. I quickly realised that really it was my own tired state that was the problem but they would not let me apologise, instead they went above and beyond my expectations. This is the second time I have stayed here and I can only recommend it highly. The breakfast is excellent as is the food in the cafe and great cakes also. I love that they are opposed to single use plastics. I can't recommend this hotel more highly.

Business hotel with good facilities (Spa, Pool, own restaurant etc.). Rooms well equiped and clean Kind and helpfull staff (even if sometimes a bit over ambitious, but in a nice & friendly way)

My room had a significant smell of cold ashes from past smoking - even if I asked explicitely for a non smoking room (what I also need to sign at check in, that I'm not allowed to smoke in the room) - but it was not over dramativ. The big minus point from my side is the location: Far away from the city center and more than 1km from the next street with restaurants - or better said Indonesian street food stalls. Also far away from public transport (bus station, ferry etc.). This forced me always calling a Grab Taxi to everywhere I wanted to go (which was quite expansive in the end) and to dine in the hotel own restaurant - which was OK, but not more.

breakfast was the best, quality, quantity and especially the deliciousness. they have the best cook in town I didn't get stomach ache, which usually a good measure to the quality of the food the only place that provides help yourself water refill which is unlimited and is hygienic

some sections of the hotel is a little warm, though the bedrooms are comfortably cooler. for value it is still the best

We always stay at the Aston when we come to Banyuwangi. The room we had this time was really nice. It looked like it had been recently renovated as everything looked new and very clean. The management organized a fresh fruit platter for our room and the staff in the restaurant remembered us from last time. That's the sort of thing that makes a stay very special.

The room is clean and comfy, The staffs are very nice to us. The breakfast is good enough. We arrived at night in heavy rain and we were so tired after long journey and they valet my car for parking which is so nice and the check in was so quick. They gave us welcome drinks too. So nice, we will definitely come back when we visit Banyuwangi.

The staffs are very helpful and easy to communicate with. I had a trip to mount Ijen that I need to leave at 12am. They helped to pack my breakfast ahead(my booking includes breakfast) The hotel is also quiet, not bothered by the Ramadan mosque sound.

All the towers are old and yellowish. Pillows are also old and there are stains of blood inside.

Easy check in and location is great

There was blood stain on the bed linen but the staff change it as soon as I informed them but then they left the dirty linen on the floor. No big deal but it was unpleasant. Breakfast could be better, the food was cold because they place it right under the ceiling AC.

Breakfast was perfect, staff very kind, refillable water tanks for less plastic is a great idea. Very clean.

Air in the rooms was not fresh. Windows could not be opened. So some ventilation of rooms when empty is suggested.

Breakfast could have been a little better .. food little cool and not a lot of western choices. We had unload and load our own baggage onto luggage carrier from our car , No concierge available at both times. They did turn up but late for both times.

We always stay here before we take the ferry to Bali. And it is never disappointing: always feels like coming home when you arrive here at this hotel. Friendly atmosphere, good vibes, nice staff, efficient check in, super nice in-house restaurant, kind of small rooms, but very comfy, cable TV all channels also CNN. Coffee maker in the room. Yes good! Breakfast also well done and very helpful staff.

Not much not too like. Everything is just fine, maybe only the small handtowels you don't find in the bathroom, and also only one toilet roll, not a spare one, so ask for it when you get to the room!
