staff is amazing! the hostel is beautiful and well taken care!

the water has a funny taste! you can hear the mosque at 4 am! so bring your earplugs

Captain coconuts is by far the best stay in Gili Air! It's near the best bars and restaurants of Gili Air (2min walk) but still really peacefull. There are 6 private ' cabans' and there is a bamboo house with beds/dorms but the hotel doesn't have a hostel vibe at all, it's really chill, people are here to relax, to enjoy the lovely surrounding: lovely pool, surrounded by palmtrees! The food is amazing (please try the golden banana balls) & the cocktails are to die for. The service is great too!

The cabans are not 10/10 isolated so it can be warm at night, even with the airco.

The two bedroom villa which we stayed in was absolutely beautiful! The aesthetic of the place was stunning. The staff were so so friendly and always available If you needed anything! The pool is so nicely kept it just invites you in! The food at the place is of a very good quality, if staying here I would 100% recommend eating here too one evening. The cocktails we had were very well made too! The room was cleaned and beds made each morning. A very special place to stay indeed! Can’t rate it enough, so good for the price you pay!

The best place I stayed at traveling in Gili and Bali for two months. The pool area is amazing. Location is perfect. I stayed in the dorms and they made your bed daily. Friendly staff. Top of the crown would be if they had small lockers downstairs for the toilet bag. You do not wanna miss out staying here.

Pool was perfect temperature first time I stayed there but a bit too hot the second time. But, it was a minor think. This is the best place.

The food is exceptional (best I had in Indonesia) , the location is great , close to everything and walking by the subset beach and nice restaurants and bars . The music is always chill and nice The swimming pool is an oasis and the garden is very nice and well maintained

There are little details on maintenance that could be improved and elevate the feel & look of the bungalow like toilette bin (dirty) , the mosquito net over the bed )ripped), sunbed Coushions (dirty)

close to the beach, very friendly staff, nice two bedroom villa. we were in low season so there were no other guests. will probably be more vibrant during peak season

there was an issue with water so we’re not able to shower, also there was a vey intense smell every morning

Incredible place to stay ! Especially the staff, Yudi, Edy, Izom (and all the crew) they are amazing 🤩 they are here for everything, talking, advice, good time, funny time, the team make delicious breakfast, lunch, drinks... Service is perfect. this guys will make you remember this place. I loved this place so much that I've keep on extending my stay. The swimming pool and the the decor is very beautiful, like a paradise. Love you guys ❤️

The breakfast was lovely, staff were incredibly helpful, and the whole place had a wonderful relaxed feel. The location was perfect, 2 minutes from the beach and a short walk from the harbour area. The cats were a highlight - they were very friendly and often by the breakfast/pool area. The hotel offered great vegan options and poolside service. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing, it was all brilliant.

In August last we stayed with our family at Captain Coconuts. WOW is an understatement. What a magnificent and tranquilo place to be (on a very nice part of the island)! And such a lovely staff! They arranged everything we asked for (bicycles, snorkle trip, e.g.). We stayed for two nights in the family villa and we spent two nights in two 1-bedroom villa's. Everything at this place is maintained very well and it is very clean. The food is very healthy... but don't forget to taste the chocochip cookies :-) We really recommend this accommodation if you go to this island.

There is nothing we didn't like at this accommodation.

I came here 5 years ago for a whole week and I loved it so much I made a special detour on my trip to come back specifically to Captain Coconuts.. and I was so happy to see it was as beautiful and special than before covid! Same family team as well and same delicious food ! Loved the pool, the suspended bed and the design as much as before and will stay in my top 10 best hostels for sure !

- the wifi was unfortunately really bad and I couldn't do the things I planned.. Just a few suggestions to improve =) : - wifi - my locker door could close but still was to be fixed - better / more sunbeds around the pool for everyone - better / more cushions and comfy seats to chill
