The garden and the pool are really nice, it is actually very beautiful. The resort is very near the snorkeling spot where you can see turtles.

Our third night was very noisy because of a music festival and the music crew had the after party in the resort garden and around the swimming pool. So when we complained about it, the resort manager refund us this third night what was honest from them.

Staff were brilliant. Everyone was young, happy, helpful, and just fantastic at their job. Location was perfect, that side of the island is the most beautiful in my opinion! Lots going on either side. Room was lovely, nice and spacious and nice that we could get water refill when we needed to. Breakfast was good too, pancakes were gorg!

I would say that the room was a little bit dark, and the bathroom / shower could have been a bit cleaner. Also, we were informed about a party / event that was happening until 3am in the morning on Sunday, and how very apologetic they were. But it turns out that that happens every week. Every night there is music and Sunday there is always an event on until late. That’s absolutely fine, but just to be open and honest with it in the first place and upon booking would be nice to know.

We booked this hotel a day before we decided to go to Gili and it was the best choice of our vacation. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the best I ever had. The raja bar next to the hotel is also very nice with very good food! The rooms are very lovely and no comments about that. It’s cool that you shower with an small open roof so it gives you the feeling that you’re showering outside. Location is also very good. It’s a small island, so we walked everything what was fine for us. And we saw 4 turtles in front of the hotel!! But shootout to the staff of this stay! They work really hard and help you with everything you need and are always happy and nice to you. If we ever come back to this island, we going to stay here again for sure!

We really LOVED it here! when we arrived we had such a nice welcome with free drinks in the restaurant. The bungalow is also really nice, it has a nice bed and you have your own sitting place in front of your bungalow. The wifi is great and you can refill your water bottles for free also, which is really convenient. and airco! There is a really nice pool also and the park it self is really cozy with a lot of nature and nice lights. The staff is amazing! A lot of evenings there were live bands and they played really nice songs and people dance also which is really nice! The staff were so nice and kind and you immediately feel welcome at this place, everybody wants to help you. You can eat really good here also it has an amazing menu, breakfast is also very good. You can eat breakfast or dinner at the beach because the beach is across Salim Resort. It is also a great snorkeling place! we actually planned on staying 5 nights but we extended our visit with 3 nights because we just didn’t want to leave yet. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a nice place to stay with a great room and great people around you and drinking cocktails every night with nice music :D we are now also planning on coming back here in a month or 2.

Friendly, relaxing. Convenient and a super chilled location. Glad that we stayed at Salim Cottage. We are currently staying in a high end hotel and it's not for us. Salim was earthy.

Mozzies and glass doors that always slam shut. Always a lack of toilet paper for those who use it. You get what you pay for and Salim Cottages was great value for money.

It is really a gorgeous place, beautiful garden and quite a special location. The staff is so friendly and always helpful, always in a good mood. It's not the typical luxury type hotel, it feels more real, with some quirks that make it feel like an honest experience.

Each evening there isoud live music in the restaurant but thankfully it's not audible as much in the rooms.

Little cabins dotted around in nice garden plus we had one in the buildings by the pool. Good location and lovely breakfast on the beach.

Rooms are quite dark and bathrooms feel a bit tired. Stayed in 3 places on Gili Islands and this was most expensive and no better than others. It’s a good location and nice setting but you don’t want to pay any more than the standard price for simple room + pool.

Friendly staff, great location (you wake up and can see the sunset from the property), not too commercial/busy. Has a restaurant right in front of the resort called Raja bar where they play live music every night until 11. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but certainly mine.

Vibes were too great that I ended up staying for two weeks. I could never leave here 🥲

Everything was just amazing at Salim resort. It is a nice set of little cottages, comfortable and big enough, and the facilities include also a spa, a swimming pool and a great reggae bar, with direct access to the crystal turquoise water of Gili Air, through some steps. Many nights you can also enjoy of BBQ (the grilled tiger prawns are just magnificent) and live music, which is cool. I think is the better place on the whole island to enjoy the evening. The menu has an inexpensive wide variety of Asian (not just Indonesian but also Thai or Singapore) dishes, and the food is really tasty - you may try curry or Singapore noodles. But the best undoubtedly is the staff, always smiling, always willing to help, always enjoying every moment - they provide a great lesson of life. If you spend some days there, surely you you will leave the place with plenty of positive energy and good vibes. Beautiful.

The bathroom needs some renovation.

The live music was exceptional! Staff were very attentive and worked really hard to make sure I had a nice time. I think the place is good value for money. Some of the facilities seem a little tired, but this is island life, and Salim Resort is typical of the accommodation here. I really enjoyed my stay, Thankyou for having me.

A bedside light would have been nice.
