Doni was an excellent host and excellent communicator. We communicated via WhatsApp and he made sure I had the most pleasant stay. You are in a remote area staying in a very simple cabin that has just what you need for your stay. Doni went out of his way to prepare breakfast the way I liked it every morning and provided my favourite local fruits (banana, mangosteen & dragon fruit). Doni drove me around munduk and brought me to various waterfalls. He recommended 3 excellent restaurants that were clean and the food was incomparable!! His resort is lovely and very peaceful. Just what you need to enjoy a slow, relaxing morning each day. There were lots of bugs since you are living in a cabin however no mosquitos since the weather is quite cool in his location. Water bottles were provided to brush your teeth and for drinking. Location is perfect if you are looking to explore the town of munduk! You wake up to roosters and enjoy stunning sunsets. I highly recommend this homestay if you are looking for an opportunity to experience remote life, support a local family, and receive excellent hospitality.

The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable, offering wonderful views of the rice fields. Doni was truly exceptional—super friendly at all times, going out of his way to meet all our needs and provide excellent activity recommendations. The food was outstanding! You must try the noodle soup; it's simply a dream! The fried bananas served at breakfast were also delicious. I will certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. If you're looking for a fantastic room, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to stay!

Doni is awesome. Super chill and kind. He helps you with whatever you need. The room is airy and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and gets you ready for your day. The community is special - the surroundings and people were extra lovely. The nature is incredible - the culture is authentic without being contrived. A beautiful, down-to-earth and humbling trip away from capitalist society. My favourite place in Bali so far. I hope this place never changes.

Donny was an awesome host, he was happy to help with anything we needed. The homestay is situated beside rice fields and has a really peaceful vibe. Breakfast was yum and the balcony was perfect to chill out in the afternoon rain.

Nothing major, but the pillows were lumpy and we didn't get our room serviced on a 4 night stay and the outdoor bathroom got a little messy due to the rain. But all in all it was a great stay!

The location in the middle of nature is sensational. The homestay is simple yet functional, comfortable and cozy. Exactly what I was looking for to enjoy a quiet time in a remote area. The staff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was good. They didn’t serve lunch/dinner but recommended a warung nearby (3 min. walk) that served excellent food in a very nice environment

A mosquito net could be added to the rooms, but that’s my only remark.

Da'Kayu is a unique place to stay in. The views are spectacular. You are truly connected to nature in this special little place. The two cottages are designed to fit in with the surroundings, and are very comfortable. I had the cottage looking over the rice paddies, and easily sat and stared out onto the fields. So peaceful. The breakfast was simple but delicious, and it was great to be able to grab a beer from the little bar and go and watch the sunset. However, the real star is the owner, Donie. He is such a charismatic, helpful and intelligent man. Donie always had a smile on his face, and is so happy. He is so passionate about his village, his people and the environment. He would take time to chat with you, and help in any way he could. Da'Kayu is a very special place with a very special owner.

The place is nice but the best part is the owner 🤩 Donnie is super nice guy who is very helpful and always available. His little homestay is very cozy with a nice view over a local rice field. The room and bathroom were clean. Good food in the evening and a lovely small breakfast in the morning.

-The place is a bit too far from Munduk to walk to a restaurant. But with a scooter no problem since easily reachable in 5 minutes. Donnie even gave us one for free since we just went to the restaurant. - As most of these cabinets, there is no soundproofing. But it was rather quiet when we were there so as well no big issue.

A hidden gem in the area! I came as rainy season was in full swing and had a really nice stay. I really appreciated how helpful and welcoming Doni was. Great location, great service, great food, and they also offer many services such as transportation and activites. Made my stay really pleasant!
