Lovely setting , beautiful infinity pool , good food , very pleasant and helpful staff

The infinity pool area can get rather hot during the day - maybe need bigger umbrellas

The view from the hotel was exceptional! It is only a few minutes from the port if you travel by boat (the hotel can arrange this but it cost £10) otherwise it would be around 25 minutes in a taxi. The pool was absolutely gorgeous, a lovely temperature with a swim up bar and the restaurant area just behind. Rooms were comfy and fresh with the same, beautiful view. Food was very nice, wine expensive.

Slightly more expensive for room, food and drinks than the mainland but we did expect this could be the case. We organised a boat trip for the manta rays but was taken to 3 points where the boat company admitted it was very unlikely we would see manta rays but if we wanted to go to the main point they would take us with the next group for X amount more. Felt slightly ripped off by this as the trip after was what we wanted initially- though did see manta rays and it was an amazing experience.

Fantastic views and excellent swimming pool. The beds and the pillows are the best we have ever experienced in Bali. The pillows are so good I want one. We found the staff super helpful, arranging taxi’s, etc.

There isn’t really anything to complain about but be prepared to deal with the local Mosque blaring out a prayer at 4-5am in the morning is a bit of a rude awakening. The hotel supplied earplugs and now we know why. 😂 We liked the stay at this place so the ten minutes of biting down on the pillow with the sides tucked up so you can’t hear the mosque is worth it.

We stayed at Sea La Vie Resort, Nusa Penida for a few days on our honeymoon, and it was amazing! The staff made it really special with flower decorations and sweet surprises throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable, the views were stunning, and the service was fantastic. A perfect spot for a romantic getaway!"

The only downside to our stay in Nusa Penida was the lack of proper roads, which made traveling around the island time-consuming. It would be great if there were more boat options, as the resort can be reached directly by sea. This would save a lot of time and make exploring the island more convenient.

I really loved my stay here and wish I could have stayed longer! The room was really big and had everything you need, the view from the terrace was amazing. I also liked that complimentary water came in reusable water bottles rather than small plastic ones. Staff were amazingly helpful and you can contact them any time in Whatsapp. They also arranged for a driver to pick me up from Buyuk harbour last minute which was great! The restaurant and pool terrace are great and the view overlooking Bali is absolutely beautiful.

There's no phones in the room to call reception so you have to contact staff via Whatsapp. Sometimes it took a while to get a response.

Whether you’re seeking adventure or simply looking to unwind, this hotel is a fantastic choice. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already dreaming of our next visit!

The location is spectacular, the rooms were spacious and clean, the food and drinks were very tasty and above all: the staff goes above and beyond. I read a lot of negative reviews, but in my eyes they are not worth giving too much attention. Yes there are some bugs, yes the water in the shower is not always warm and no the staff will not inform you beforehand about any minor inconvenience you might encounter. Please remind yourself before coming here that you are travelling to Bali. Expect everything that goes along with it: it will not be Dubai. Still choosing Bali? Then choose Sea La Vie: you won’t regret it.

The only thing that is somewhat bothersome is the mosque waking you up every night at 4am. Of course, it’s part of Nusa Penida and the hotel or staff is not to blame for this. They even go out of their way to provide you with some earplugs. Every accommodation in the area will have this same ‘problem’ if you are not used to it. Still, try not to let it bother you and try to respect it, and you will find this is not even a negative point really.

The property was beautiful. Incredible views and lovely pool. We felt it was well priced for quite a high standard. The water below is stunning, you can walk down the steps and swim in it. You can also take a Short walk through the bush track into the main village. The rooms were lovely!

Unfortunately the hotel is rather remote and isolated. Everything on the island is spread out and taxis are very expensive compared to the mainland. The roads are incredibly rough and very uncomfortable to drive over. We did taxi it out our first night then decided to stay at the hotel the next 2 nights for dinner. The menu definitely needs some work and the quality of food was not amazing but it wasn’t the end of the world.

View and location very nice - perfect place to watch the sunset from the infinity pool. Looks very close to the town but if travelling in by car or scooter the road is unsealed and very narrow and bumpy, takes about 20 mins from the ferry. There is a walkway dirt track that can be walked from the. Ferry along the beach if u want to walk into town which takes about 10 mins. Staff very nice. There is a loud speaker prayers that can be heard from the town at sunset and 4.20am which goes for about 15 mins. Not sure if during the day as we were out on adventures. There is a couple of street shops nearby for drinks snacks etc. They have their own restaurant.

Exceptional atmosphere and views, perfect for daily snorkelling straight from the hotel pier! Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, kitchen again catered to our vegan requests, suksma! Rooms are beautiful, clean with crisp quality linen and comfortable beds. The Villa room with private pool is exquisite. The private bungalows are beautiful, still our favourite. Safe location on the side of the hill ( no tsunami threat) is a plus. Access is best with a boat from the main harbour.

We liked the exercise but if you have mobility issues the stairs may be an issue.
