We stayed at Maya Sanur in February 2023. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, so much variety with many choices and the Staff were so present and attentive, just beautiful friendly people. The whole property was spotless clean, pools sparkling clean overlooking the ocean and pool lounges all had little call buttons to call the waiter for food and drink service. We used a Laundry Service called Bali Laundry, it was all via Whatsapp, and Maya supported us by handing over our Laundry bag which we left at reception desk.. (there's also an in house Laundry Service) Everything was just easy and so luxurious & comfortable. The massage in the Spa (with Ketut) definitely worthwhile. The Tree Bar in the evenings also lovely with gentle live music... We wish we could've stayed longer and would definitely return and recommend this Property. We loved the location too. You can hire electric bikes and ride along the footpath beside the ocean to explore the area.

The size not too many people yet great facilities.

The dangerous surface of the concrete paver and timber main pathway from front to beach pool and bar. Uneven and sharp edges causing cuts and tripping. Needs to change.

Fantastic breakfast, good facilities, spacious rooms, good level of service, delicious food, room with pool access from balcony is a nice add-on even though everyone can be in your space from the rooms next door given there’s no separation

Small fitness centre (you have to book it in advance) and to access the fitness centre you need to walk outside so, when it rains, it’s a bit of an issue given that umbrellas are not available in the room and not enough for everyone. The hotel is beach front yet you cannot use it as there are no facilities like sunbeds and umbrella

Food was delicious, amazing selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hotel is right on the beach. Staff were attentive. To the front of the hotel are, shops and bars.

It was a shame the hotel blocked the sun from around 3ish onwards when you were on the beach. All the sun beds/loungers around the pool are pretty much taken when you come down for breakfast. Bath in our room was leaking onto the floor. We booked a lagoon room which was beautiful but no sun reaches the lagoon or any of the fabulous beds across from the rooms.

the staff were amazing! everyone we met from concierge to check in, to bar/restaurant, housekeeping, spa, kids club, security- Al the staff were fantastic! friendly and helpful. the food was nice, rooms were spacious, well laid out. I had a wonderful treatment at the spa

The room had a really damp smell as well as a rat living on the patio, but then we were by the lagoon so maybe it’s expected. it was a shame we were woken very early every morning with the gardeners and people cleaning the lagoons. I understand it’s better for them to do it early morning but not for me on holiday

Reason why I give an exceptional 10 instead of a superb 9 is the food: being French, I have travelled to Italy many times, yet it is in Indonesia, at Maya Sanur, that I have eaten the best pasta of my life: the pumpkin raviolis were a-ma-zing. The rest of the food we had was also really good, well above what we have tried so far in Bali. That being said, it is also an excellent hotel, modern, clean, by the beach (good one, clean, no waves and no feet hurting pebbles/rocks) and very conveniently located for a day trip to Nusa Penida (harbor is in Sanur).

Spa was beautiful and they were amazing there. Lots of activities if you wanted to do a yoga, aqua, bike tour. Kids programme looked good for younger children. The room was very comfortable and modern. Staff were very sweet when my son was unwell. Good location for getting out to other restaurants.

It was in the shade from around 4pm so it felt like you had to plan your day around that. Not that keen on the ultra modern grey reception area. Felt a bit soul-less. Main pool not that big, and it was cold. Lovely hotel, but slightly falls short in offering as many gluten free options as other places. Food expensive for the quality.

Breakfast was great, so were the snack type foods on the menu. Good coffee. Beautiful gardens and pool. Lovely staff. Great position.

We did not like the main meals on the menu. The Nasi Goring was gluggy and not very tasty and expensive. The duck was chewy. More Indonesian dishes would be better than trying to copy certain supposedly popular Western dishes. We ate out for dinner every night except the first night.

Staff were amazing - so polite and helpful. When we had to go at night on our bicycles, they sent a security guy to go with us (safety) - who would do that!? We loved the bathroom design and decors (mirrors, bathtub), balcony seats and lagoon pool. Gym facilities were great! Spa - massages with flower bath was so amazing. Great that the drinking water bottle supply is unlimited! Good thing that we could have salads and fresh fruit juices here because they do not use tap water for washing! Finally it is only a 15min bicycle ride to our favourite eatery in Bali - GENIUS CAFE. Great that it was so close (15min drive) to the harbour/port as we went to Nusa Penida, Nusa Lambongan, Nusa Ceningan.

More bicycles needed for sure as we had to go elsewhere to hire and returning them may be a little inconvenient. But we enjoyed the night ride.

It was lovely to sunbake by the main warm pool whilst also being able to watch the ocean. The location was great, being right on the beach and just a few minutes walk or bike ride to local shops, bars and restaurants. Live music each night was a bonus too.

Our first room which came with its own pool probably wasn’t worth the money. The pool was small and not very appealing so we didn’t actually use it. And it didn’t have the view shown when booking. Our second room had two double beds, our son was in one and my husband and I shared the other bed. Way too small on a hot night! Restaurant catered for snacks and drinks but not full dinner menu.
