Literally everything. I got a free upgrade from the dorms to a private room so probably the best stay I had whilst backpacking.

Morning yoga was a bit too busy - should probably have a cut off for how many people are allowed.

Dorms were great. Lots of locker space (big locker with little shelf), plus under bed drawer. Two hooks each outside on coat stand to dry wet towels plus shoe racks. Privacy curtains, bedside shelf, adaptor plug socket so didn’t need to use an adaptor and light. Good aircon. Get a bath/shower towel plus pool towel which was great. Lots of organised optional extras like tours, yoga, massages, pedi/manicures. Cafe on site and good included breakfast options! Staff put on extras (like movies) for the really rainy days! Pool is lovely and plenty of seating around it. Staff gave great recommendations for restaurants, laundry etc. Great laundry over the road with express service (and didn’t lose any of my things!)

A little annoying that you had to go outside to the toilet blocks - especially in the rain! I never had to queue for the toilet/showers but could use extra sinks as there are only 3. Also think there could be more of a comfy common area to sit when it’s raining (the only option really was the cafe or going to your dorm), but this is really minor. Otherwise no complaints - think it’s really reasonable price for everything it includes.

Fantastic location for walking in to town, great relaxed atmosphere with pool+ bar/cafe service (can get food out to your beanbag!) Staff really friendly. Delicious free pancakes, yoga in the morning, group bbq to meet people, puppy therapy and other great stuff, something every day! Honestly one of the nicest hostels ive ever been to. Room we were in was in the newly renovated part.

Light in the bathroom was the same light as the entryway so you either wake everyone up in the room, or had to bring a torch with you if you used the bathroom in the middle of the night. Also my friend hurt herself on the pool steps as they were a bit slippery and broken.

Puri Gardens might be one of the best hostels I have stayed in during my time on my travels across now 30 countries. The vibe is absolutely amazing, with amazing breakfasts, such lovely workers and there are so many solo travellers to chill with and meet! They do so many events that can help you build connections amongst people staying in the hostel as well like free yoga, movie night, family dinners, day trips, mt batur sunrise trek. There are also amazing volunteers that jump in and introduce themselves and other people but its never forced it really is amazing. Shout out to Kiara and Kinga!!!

Nothing really worth mentioning but what can happen in hostels, people leaving early or arriving late into rooms, making noise. All out of our control and luck of the drawer with hostels, although will mention was good most nights!

The hostel is really clean and the staff is extremely friendly - everyone, cleaning, reataurant, massage, front desk … Makes you feel welcome. There is a good vibe and good location. Breakfast is good but could be a bit more. Yoga classes are super nice.

The private room is really beautiful but there is no outdoor balcony so the room smells a bit humid. We asked to change the bedsheets because we realized they were smelly, but the new ones smell the same. The shower and sink clogged everytime you use it at night or afternoon because the pipes of the hotel are full (not in the morning) which is not nice for an expensive hotel room. Cinema is not nice, closed room and smelly too. All in all super nice hostel and beautiful private rooms, but maybe a bit expensive if you don’t go to a shared room with bunk beds.

This place is amazing, yoga in the morning, free massages, pool and a great vibe. I arrived on a Friday and it was BBQ night, great to meet people and get chatting together, plus their night out. They do so many things if you stay here long enough you'll get a great experience. For sightseeing Ubud is much better than Kuta to get around the island in traffic. Banana Pancakes for breakfast were the best I've ever had, definitely get those. The bed is super comfy, so all in all I really liked this place and highly recommend it.

Bed was very creaky when I led on it, so every time I rolled over it was very noisy. Bar from that I can't complain.

hostel had a pool, puppy therapy, trivia night, party night, yoga lessons, massage and manicure, and free breakfast. the location is right next to the monkey forest and there are also tours you can sign up for for a reasonable fee. the beds were comfortable and the staff were super awesome!

the traffic to get to the hostel can be quite lengthy, most activities or common areas close sort of early so there's no staying and doing anything late into the night. the one biggest thing is the showers and bathrooms are separate from most of the rooms so in order to shower or use the bathroom you would have to walk halfway across the hostel to do so which is not ideal if it's late at night or if it's pouring outside.

The hostel is more on the expensive side. Additionally you had to pay an additional fee for the tours and activities, this was not always on the cheap side either. Free spa, manicure and pedicure are included but in theory, it’s always fully booked unless you book a timeslot at 12 pm. The service is only provided from 12-4 pm which makes it difficult to get if you plan a full dat of sightseeing. I was staying in the 4-person dorm and it was inconvenient that the light outside of the bathroom would also turn on if you just wanted to use the bathroom. The bathroom had no electricity plug either which means I had to hairdry my hair in the room - which also would end up as additional noise for my roommates.

Loved everything about this place. Feels like a little bit of luxury while still affordable for backpacker life. All the additional extras such as massages, mani/pedi and morning yoga are a treat and met some wonderful fellow travellers and now friends while staying there. Really good vibe, chilled during the day, and party at night without being too wild if you need an early night. The staff were also amazing, so helpful in every way, remember everyone’s names and make sure you get the most out of your stay. Have already recommended to many fellow travellers I have met along the way who are going to Ubud.

Nothing. I know some of the bigger dorms were a bit noisier but I was in 4 bed dorm which was perfect for me.

I loved the backyard/hang out area and all the activities, including free massages and mani/pedi. The breakfast was great, the room nice and clean, and all the other travellers were fun and friendly. Great overall vibe!

The mattress was a little hard for my liking and there was no closet in the room but apart from that the room was perfect. Daily cleaning with new towels, always hot water in the shower and filtered water for drinking provided.
