Firstly the landscape gardens were stunning, so well maintained and looked with love. Stunning plants and foliage. I felt like I was in a live Planet Earth episode! I was to personally thank all the staff, nainly Ivan, the operations manager, he took care of me like as I was a member of his family, he asked me daily how I was and if I needed anything. I felt so loved by him. And the staff reflected the same. I will miss them all dearly.

The gardens to the property surprised me. The setting was really idyllic. Lots of staff on hand to help and WhatsApp services available. My Joglo was abit out of the way but could always get help if needed. I didn’t use the pool but it looked beautiful. I loved the location but I am also confident with a scooter so that helped.

I found the scooter prices overpriced so went outside. The food and service at the restaurant was below par and not fresh. However I see they cook for large parties so I’m sure alot is pre-made and frozen to help this. There’s a lot of staff and all were friendly but not necessarily alert in the restaurant. As a solo traveller I got forgotten a lot.

My favourite thing was the flower bath that they made for me and my floating breakfast. It was beautiful and no trouble for the staff to organise for the equivalent of $10 AUD for a stunning bath. The staff themselves were so awesome and friendly. They were so attentive to my needs and requests and welcoming. My villa was a good size and the outdoor shower was lovely!

The restaurant food wasn’t my favourite. The cheeseburger had a liquid sauce on top which soaked my burger and it wasn’t very good. My salad was soaked in dressing too. Kind feedback to ditch the cheese sauce on the burgers and use a cheese slice and fresh beef patties. Put dressings on the side of the salads. The drinks and fresh juices were beautiful though.

This is a hidden gem! An Oasis for anyone who wishes to unwind from the grind Plus the people that work here genuinely care and are so welcoming and kind. It includes an idyllic log cabin stay, Listening to the sounds of nature With views of rice fields by day And stars by night We booked two nights and stayed eleven!! As it exceeded our expectations. On your doorstop enjoy: Spa treatments, yoga, swimming pool, bar and restaurant. Tours and taxis easily arranged. We made treasured memories with the tours that we booked and Ubud town centre is only a short drive away. We are very sad to say goodbye But we are looking forward to the resort's evolution when we meet again! This resort is truly medicine for the soul And a wholesome experience, hence the name of this resort "Wedja." From two sisters, Maggie and Maria, Ireland ☘️ (December 2023)

The property has everything that you need right there, restaurant, pool with poolside service, spa for massage - we were really looking for a “lazy” place to stay so we could fully rest and recharge at the start of our trip away and this did the job Beautiful Spacious room - we were in a rice padddie view room - very nice and quiet and out the way of other rooms Beautiful Grounds A staff member helped me make a last minute booking at a spa in ubud I walked into ubud and it took about an hour Lovely breakfast Massage on site was 180k I believe and easy to book

They offer free yoga but it’s at 5-6pm - I’d love a morning class Based on the reviews I read, I was expecting a little more - eg from the service sometimes I also didn’t personally love needing to use what’s app to communicate with staff - I wanted to switch off from using my phone, but would receive messages everyday asking if I wanted room cleaned, this is also how you order from the restaurant to the pool/ your room Room service was sometimes painfully slow There is a shuttle to ubud but it is unclear what times it goes (it went at different times to what was told) and it was 100k - a free service would be great The duck dishes we ordered at the restaurant were tiny and we were still hungry after (for dessert!) - but was definitely expecting more from those dishes

staff was amazing and so helpful! went out of their way to help me get to atm and rent a scooter!

room wasn’t ever fully cleaned. the bed was made but the trash was never taken out and toilet paper wasn’t replaced till asked for. many bugs but out of their control. also the noise was way too much…temple is one thing but hosting 2 birthday parties during my stay made it very loud till 11pm and they didn’t let me in the restaurant since the birthday parties were there. it could have been much more relaxing but noise made it hard to find peace.

The staff: The staff is so friendly and caring, it felt like a second home to us. They not only helped us with the basic things but also tried to resolve our issues. Our luggage got misplaced in the airport which was later returned to us in the midnight.the kind staff at Ubud Art Resort picked up our luggage from the lobby to our room late at night when we were sleeping. We used different charging pin so our phones were not getting charged in our hotel room. But the staff also helped us to charge our phones, be it in the lobby or in the restaurant. The place: The place is built so exceptionally well that it stands true to its name: an art resort! Every morning we used to get up with very light, peaceful, traditional music which made our mind calm and fresh for the following day. We were staying in Bamboo Villa and they again stand true to the word. Every thing in the villa was made up of wood. The shower also was made up of bamboo stalk and the water gushing out of it made me feel like I am having a bath in wonderful nature! Also there are many gardens and paths made of stone or pebbles that attract your attention and you would crave to walk on them and as cherry on the cake, you see beautiful sculptures of Lord Buddha, some human figures, some animals which turn out to be a peaceful, serene walk! I would definitely recommend Ubud Art Resort to my people. Great job and stupendous hospitality 🙏

Everything was almost perfect. However, we would have loved it if there were no lizards on the rooftop of the restaurant. It's not a major issue as many people were having their food that way. But for us two, we are scared of reptiles unfortunately hence we had to then eat for our food in our room. Apart from this, everything was just next level perfect

The retreat is a masterpiece of design, offering guests an immersive experience into the rich culture of Bali. Each villa is thoughtfully curated, crafted from natural Balinese wood to create a warm, homely ambiance. The traditional garden feels like a sanctuary, meticulously designed to leave no detail overlooked. The restaurant brims with cultural art and motifs, perfectly complementing the exquisite flavors of Balinese cuisine. The breakfast was beyond my expectations. The food was healthy and artistically presented. This was first time I looked forward to getting up every morning to have breakfast during a lazy vacation. There were full servings and many choices. Every corner offers a stunning vignette: from koi-filled ponds to intricate sculptures, serene rice fields, and statues. Here, art seamlessly blends into life. The staff is exceptional—I’ve traveled to over 30 countries, and Wedja easily stands out as one of my favorite destinations. This is the ideal place to recharge. We stayed for three unforgettable weeks and cherished every moment. The family/owners have found various ways to offer guests a glimpse of the rich heritage of Bali. The resort is a short ride from the heart of Ubud and they can easily arrange many tourist destinations. The property has a pool and massages can be booked with the front desk. This is truly a hidden gem that shouldn't be missed. Thank you! Joe and Sandra

There wasn’t anything not to like about the Ubud Art Resort. Simply the Best!

The design of the wood of the room. The incredible decoration and the amazing and very beautiful garden. Visiting this Hotel was a tourist spot itself. Good stuff smily and helpful. When it is raining they will wait for you in the front of the hotel with an umbrella, I appreciate that a lot. Good restaurant outside the hotel offering a very good breakfast/ dinner for a good price.

Room service was not done automatically everyday but you can ask via WhatsApp and they will fix it immediately. When it is raining it is difficult to walk without slipping on the rocks. I was being kissed by mosquitoes 🦟 😅 everywhere so you need to use special local creams to get rid of them.
